I think that applies to football in general to be honest. It's seriously lacking superstar players. So many players just seem to be variations of the same thing.

Does make me think that the intense reliance of data and the kind of extreme sports fitness thing for players and the analytics around tactics etc has nearly destroyed the artistic skills and spontaneity in football. It feels like you could almost run a season in a supercomputer and get the results without anyone needing to actually kick a ball. The only variables left in football feel like the officiating and our centre backs ability to f**k up the unf**kupable.

How is everybody doing so far? I may have been a tad too optimistic with 4th, but the majority of voters may have been deluded even more optimistic 😃

I voted for lower than 8th at the start of the year and unfortunately that is starting to look possible.

As long as it’s not the conference spot I’ve kind of stopped caring.

Bump and some kudos to Forbzy, Deino, JPH and Caps_Lock_King who were the 4 posters who called it correctly that we'd finish lower than 8th.

The rest of us had our initial optimism suitably crushed LOL.

If we had appointed Silva or God Forbid persevered with Rosenoir I would 100% agree. But Alosno is the shining light that makes you think things can only improve and we will look a whole lot better than we did in this season, in what can only be described as a complete sh*t-show.

In fact I might even check what the odds are for us winning the PL.................................
