JT26CFC
shevchenko for me, came on assisted one goal and scored another two goals. By far his greatest contirbution since he first came here.
coco
No doubting this one.......... SHEVA !
Chippy
Shevchenko for me, he looked well up for it and looked like he may have picked up a knock before he was subbed, Ballack ran him close for me and I cant wait to see him have a run of games, Romans signings done the best work today in my opinion terrible defending and we missed JT more today than we ever have, I dont think Riccy was fully sharp and it was a hard game to be in for a defender needing games,
Pauly
close with ballack but i picked sheva...

loz
between Sheva and Ballack for me as well. I was gobsmacked when Grant took Sheva off instead of Pizarro but he then followed it up by taking Pizarro off as well. We were settling for 3-3 a that point which I didn't like. Lofty
Sheva for me. I thought you'd forgotten to post a MOTM thread so was going to do it myself, with options limited to Sheva, Ballack or Sheva.
Valerie
Sheva. The pressure was on for his penalty, his second goal was an absolute cracker, and great assist for Alex' goal.
Peeking Duck?
can we please have a non of the above option or an N/A option for those who feel the team played poorly enough to not warrant a MOM?
Alan
Shevchenko without a shadow of a doubt, 2 goals and 1 assist. One of his best performances in a blue shirt. Essien and Ballack also played well, but my vote has to go to Sheva.
g3.7
haven't voted just yet- sheva, like all our players not named ballack had a poor first half at best, however it's difficult to ignore his second half contribution of 2 goals and an assist... yet...mmmmm no I'll go with ballack. spot on performance, coming on and playing well even when all around him were not. and this is after a lengthy lay off. just
shevchenko for me, came on assisted one goal and scored another two goals. By far his greatest contirbution since he first came here. I can understand why you think he "came on". However, he did actually start the game but was virtually anonymous for the first 45 minutes up until the sending off. 2nd half he was different gravy and ran the show. However, if I may interject a note of caution. Villa were down to 10 men and Laursen, who had had him in his pocket for the first period, was stretched covering the gaps. As a result space and time were given to Sheva that had previously been denied him. Ballack for me.
youlots
The tank for sure. Sheva only started looking good as he always done when he has space. Thos bionic legs have helped as well.

ecthelion
I might be castigated for saying it, but does this prove there is life after Lampard?just kidding I still love you A better life i wuld say. Lamps is a gr8 layer but he is now a shadow of his former self. Ballack on the otherhand demonstrated that he can actually play the role of a playmaker. I voted for ballck cuz sheva was sh*t in the first half.
BlueBosnian
If I told you this summer that the choice for the MOTM would be between Sheva and Ballack...
Y_dizzie
Sheva wasnt seen much in the first half, allthough he lacks skills he showed great courage by taking the penalty and scoring from it when beeing doubted since he came(with every right). Got a lot off space in the second when Villa had 10 men so he hasnt really proven himself for me. Ballack for me turned the game into our favour, showed that he can replace Lamps and played much better then he did last year when both he and Lamps played at the same time. I think that has been the problem you cant have them on at the same time, Ballack seems to need authority in mf in order to play good and needs alot of touches on the ball during a game. I watched him play alot in Bayern, he seemed to dissapear in some games and dominate in others so i wouldnt really get my hopes up yet allthough if given time on the pitch he could be a regular in the future.
