I will make this the official MOTM thread so have removed Grant and Dunne - if you had already voted it will clear those votes and you will need to vote again.

Anelka a clear MOTM for me. He was head and shoulders above everyone else on the park.

Only real negative point to Anelka's game today was the number of times he was caught offside although admittedly watching on the stream made it harder to tell if the linesman got it right in the majority of occasions. Also could be as a result of lack of match sharpness.

Yeah about an hour into the game he got caught offside about 4 times in a 5-10 minute spell.

Only seen the highlights but from what they showed I would give it to Anelka, his movement pulls defenders all over the place and he is very unselfish,

It looked from what I saw that we were pretty good second half.

Yep Chippy bang on ! Thats his secret weapon, he is so good at making those runs away from goal, pulling out defenders, see the 2nd goal against Ars for prime example.

Well at least someone else voted Kalou with me. Officially Anelka was offsides 18 times today it could be a Prem record.

I saw that as well Loz, but on a number of occassions the commentator said that Anelka was onside.

I thought he was very good today and barring Joe Hart and Onohua he would have had a goal or two to his name in the game.

Carlo made a couple of good saves at the end of the first half to keep it at 0-1 when Citeh were pushing, if we had gone in 1-1 - the end reason may have been very different as I finishing at the moment is piss-poor.
