Was reading something earlier about Arsenal and saw "Barca-target Laurent Koscielny" and spit soda all over my computer screen....which is weird because I wasn't drinking anything at the time.

West Ham is making £17mill bid on Andy Carroll. That could actually be a blessing for Scum. Think about it. £35mill signing who flops, new coach who isn't praising him too much. If they manage to get even that for Carroll they should just wipe their foreheads and say "Phew, just dodged a bullet." Even WH could benefit of this. Carroll could work there. He'd play every single minute there.

Why do West Ham want so many strikers? I really don't understand, they have 8 strikers already. Come the end of the window I'm willing to bet they could field a starting XI of strikers.

And they only play with 1 striker up top in a 451 formation. I don't even...

In addition to the previous two pieces of news (Hoillet, Sahin), it seems that Nathaniel Clyne has gone from Palace to Southhampton. He's supposed to be the future England RB, he'll probably end up at Liverpool or United within 2-3 seasons.

Zaha was the other prospect that Palace have, wonder if he's staying.

Nothing to fear. We have strengthen the best so far.

Liverpool the only interesting prospect. City will be tough to catch but United maybe on the decline

How so?

 been hearing it for a decade now, never going to happen. They have the best manager in the history of the modern game, a perfect formula for being competitive in England and they'll be that way until the day he retires.

Ibras first goal for PSG, took him 2 minutes. Wasted in f**king france!

I think PSG are going to be a team to watch out for in Europe, so I wouldn't call him being wasted in France. And don't worry, once the games actually matter and every thing is on the line, Zlatan will go back to disappearing.

I think they might become a team to watch out for, but they're not there yet. They've only just begun shaping the new team with the new money and I think it will take atleast one more season before they might reach top level. They can still beat the best teams, but in the long run I think they're not good enough yet. I'm not even sure they will win the league actually.

The fact they'll be playing significantly weaker teams week in week out in comparison to the other top sides in Europe surely has to work against them...although in the same way, may make them slightly more fresh when it comes to the big European games!

Liverpool accepted a £9m bid for Aquilani. Get rid of Aquilani, sign Allen.

Christ, really puts the whole Moses saga into perspective.

Joe Allen is pure class, would be a great signing for them if they could land him and he fits Rodgers philosophy perfectly. Aquilani is also on ludicrous wages i am led to believe by a mate of mine who is a liverpool fan.

Should Arsenal hold onto RVP somehow they will certainly be a dark horse, don't think they have it in them to win the league but podolski and girould are great players and Wilsheres return will be like a brand new signing. Interesting times ahead

I can't help but feel that if Allen really was pure class that Man Utd would be in form him. I know they really missed Cleverly last season but IMO Allen would fit in nicely there. I guess if the former keeps fit I'll have to revise my opinion.

Btw, on Twitter yesterday someone said that Oscar cost us £19.5m [or .something] which is cheaper than Henderson cost Liverpool. It is delicious stats like that which make me smile :)

If that makes you smile, then the knowledge that Oscar also cost less than Downing should be positively titillating.

It's not so much that I don't rate Allen, I think he's decent and obviously a good fit for Liverpool now Rodgers is there it's just that Aquilani is streets ahead of him in just about every department so getting rid makes no sense, Allen will not be able to do the same things Aquilani can. I remember Rodgers saying he liked the look of him as well, can't imagine the club accepted the bid on his behalf.

As for the wages, they have Charile Adam, who is the most useless player I've ever come across, that is also on high wages. Why not get rid of him? They would probably get something like £5m and he won't be missed as he's barely used anyway.

RVP has all but said he would like to stay and sign a new contract if the signing of Carzola goes through, he did a Rooney and forced the club to sign better players.
