Solid team. Hope Costa's hamstring holds up.

I feel this won't change anybody's opinion, so I might just leave it there. Certainly won't change mine anyways (a lot of these posts made have taken into consideration many other Hazard vs Sterling debates, so this is not the first time I've read or thought about something like this)

Who is going to be the most important player to us this season.
Hazard. Potentially going to be putting a bit of a burden on him, potentially even earlier in the season than last year, unless either the Costa hamstring or midfield issues are resolved. Believe Oscar could step up though. Had a good rest over the summer so hopefully he doesn't burn out as easily.

I already referred to examples in the previous. I'm not going to go back and specifically find every post by every user though, for obvious reasons. Regardless, you have to explain why my opinion on Sterling is nonsense when I already made a post on why I believe it's not the case. So you haven't really refuted anything, but this time, instead of trying to give examinations of both players abilities, you mention PFA awards!(but hey, at least it's not the pundits this time.) Giggs won it a few years ago after playing starting 7 games, so not too sure if you want to use that as the crux of your argument. I'll predict that you'll go for the team of the year now Still waiting on those articles. Or, again, your actual refutation of my argument I posted earlier. As I said, this was two seasons ago when he was 18/19 -- the Hazard of last season was better. But nonetheless, the raw facts are Sterling has been putting in the same kind of numbers whilst at a poorer Liverpool team throughout both seasons. No, you don't. Well at least, you might, but you haven't demonstrated any keen ability to. It's nothing to do with me knowing the players -- it to do with me watching both of them carefully to make a comparison for myself (with stats supplements). Are you able to do the same?

Quite an audience. That's what I'm talking about !!!! Great response there pal. Basically "I don't know how to argue back, so I'll just reference pundits in hope that they've said something that disagrees with any of the points". Then the obligatory nonsense comment just to top it off! Your point on pundits is absolutely laughable. The opinion of the pundits invalidate or take priority the opinions of the fans or 'non-paid' writers, clearly people take all the pundits like Collymore et al words as a gospel, no matter who they are. Oh no wait, they don't. Seems a pattern than only G Neville or Jamie Carragher (barely?) have good things to say. if they're so plentiful, then provide a link to a well-respected writer then who's produced a good detailed report on comparing Sterling with Hazard or Guardiola with Mourinho then (with a unanimous agreement in favourite of both latters, since my post is clearly nonsense!). Alternatively, feel free to argue against the post from your personal point of view :-). I can't really see anything wrong with I've said personally, but hey. I never said I knew more than everybody; I said the it was annoying that many people confidently comment on other players when they don't know anything about. I feel you'll just repeat the same thing so to give examples: for other players - continued nonsense about Sterling being a speed merchant, Arsenal's defence being sh*t, KDB not being good enough for chelsea, Neymar not being on the level of Hazard, Messi not being anywhere near as good if he didn't have the Barcelona midfield behind him, a lot of general BS about this player not being good when it's clear they've never watched any of them) Other leagues (like players performances meaning little in the Bundesliga or Serie A because it's apparently a bad league, complaints about even Spanish players not being able to adapt the physicality of this league or some crap like that) or other teams (managers, underrating other teams in general). All valid which fuel this 'unholy confession.' I guess the consistently good posts would piss some people off, but I like controversy Agreement of what? Why did you say two seasons ago was a key point?

Do apologise for that. Definitely had you in my mind but forgot your name! Two seasons, ago, when he was an 18/19 year old? There is not one 20 year old that has put in performances in the big leagues over the past 18 months like Raheem has. There's figures if you want to see which that he's matching Hazard in everything except assists per 90. So for non penalty goals per 90, key passes, completion, tackles, interceptions, dribbles, he's putting in Hazard-esque numbers. All whilst being shunted all over the pitch and playing for a dismal team. Not even two seasons ago, but even after that he's still fulfilled lots of the things mentioned . He's putting in world class numbers all across the board. He might not world class, but he's on the verge of it. Give him a platform like he'd get at any better club (like with a certain team he moved to), and he would show you it. And that's talking about his current ability. The previous doesn't even include that his ability to play in multiple positions for a sh*t Liverpool team is (was) the only threat to his development. He's shown mental fortitude after being dropped from the team for a period of 12 months, then he's carried them for half a season, starred on big stages for them, made the switch to playing well for his country in a different set up, and he's improved physically all throughout that time. He's versatile enough to find himself involved and getting game time in any set up. None of the usual stagnation threats apply to him anymore so irrespective if a lot of this was two seasons ago, there has been nothing to suggest that that form won't be both replicated as well as improved on. This doesn't detract from the point at all.

Sure 1. Lots of people on this forum don't really know anything about other teams, leagues, players which isn't to do with Chelsea, and often make terribly misinformed opinions (which is the annoying thing). Only seen SydneyChelsea, PloKoon, Remodez and ForeverCarefree make consistently good posts on that front. 2. Guardiola is a much better coach & manager than Mourinho (as good as the latter is) 3. Le Saux wasn't too far off Cole's level 4. Gutted we didn't go for Sterling because he was as good, if not better than Hazard two seasons ago, and will probably progress to become better than him. 5. Lampard wasn't as good as Gerrard in terms of prime performance

Despite this being a glorified exhibition match, we still do need another attacking player (wing) and a midfielder
