Chance Encounters as a Chelsea Fan
Ian Britton, Garry Stanley and a couple of others from that era (Ray Lewington? can't remember) used to occasionally go down the same wine bar as us. We used to play it very cool by not paying them too much attention. Ken Swain gave me and my friend a lift home after we went to watch them training. Again, I think there may have been another player in the car, but it's too long ago now for me to remember properly. And I attended a match (Plymouth Argyle I think) with then Chelsea youth team player, Peter Rhodes Brown, who went on to play in the first team. He was going out with a friend of mine. He was a really nice guy - I didn't fancy him though but my friend thought I did and had a go at me because I offered to help him bring the round of drinks over from the bar! She was a tad possessive!

Absolutely collapsed in this half - like a different team.

The John Terry Appreciation Thread
Felt quite emotional to hear this. End of an era, Everything I try to say sounds like a cliche but he is an absolute legend in the club. What else can I say. Love the bloke.

For a nasty moment then I thought you were saying I had made that mistake! Cue cold shivers at the thought!

I just get annoyed at censorship. Especially when it doesn't achieve anything. What is the point?

Following Our Nearest & Dearest Rivals, 2018/2019
For f**ks sake, why do the bastards f**king censor us anyway? It always makes me a bit sh*tting annoyed that the c**ts think that by putting a * in the middle of a word, it somehow protects everyone from the f**king shock of seeing a c**ting swear word - as though we can't f**king work out what the word is. What is the c**ting point? The f**king censorship ought to f**king censor any f**king inappropriate apostrophes instead - that would do us all a favour.

But at least our sh*t season followed winning the league! Theirs is just one sh*t season following another sh*t season. I've said it before but I'll take winning the league, followed by a sh*t season repeated ad nauseum thanks.

It looks like Eden is being played at a different speed to everyone else on the pitch (like when you have one person in black and white in an otherwise coloured photo or film).

UEFA Nations League 2018/2019
Kane was pretty crap tonight and I hardly noticed that Dele Ali was even on the pitch. And God did we need JT to sort the defence out

Fridays europa league draw
Thanks. I agree it may not be the cheapest but it's a good option as a fall back and I guess you know you've got it all sorted rather than having to think about which to book first - match ticket flight hotel?

Chelsea V Bournemouth (PL) Sat 1st Sep 15:00 UK
How the f**k could anyone think Bournemouth deserved a point? I sometimes wonder if I've seen the same game as some people! Yes we weren't great in front of goal (I do miss Diego ) and yes they could have scored but you could say that about any game. We hit the post and had a couple of good shots too. If you count theirs as "we should be losing" surely you have to count ours as well. They really didn't look all that to me.

Fridays europa league draw
Quite fancy an away European match but have absolutely no idea how to go about it! Last year there were Thomas Cook package deals for some (all?) of the matches. Is this normal? Any tips from anyone as to how easy it is to get tickets etc? All advice welcome!

Kodi
@robdog So what's the situation re Kodi - is it completely fried now? If so what should I use to watch tv, films etc on now? I used to have Kodi but it seemed to stop working and so I haven't got it anymore. I do subscribe to Netflix but find it annoying when things aren't on there. If Kodi is still going, can someone point me in the right direction as to how to reinstall it all? Bear in mind, I don't talk "tech" so I need a step by step plain-English set of instructions please - none of this talk about VPN, ACE, IPTV or my head will explode.

Totally agree and it would drive me mad as a fan of a club who can't realistically expect to win a major trophy if they don't bother in something they could actually do well in. I love winning matches and any match should be approached to be won. A good cup run can feel so good. That said, I can see that later in the season a cup run can impact on league performance to the extent that relegation could threaten and then I can see the temptation to concentrate on the league, being more financially rewarding. But certainly at this time of the season, go for it.

No same capacity I think. I think my son said it did feel better than just standing up with seats as it felt there was less chance of tripping over seats - probably especially if jumping around after scoring - sadly, he didn't experience that though - 1-0 defeat!
