Honestly expect Jose to sit back and try hit us on the counter, which could be dangerous.  A big test for sure, and thankfully the international break may be good for us after their confidence booster of coming back against Newcastle.

It really shows how both teams have progressed/declined since the start of the season, that people think we can just turn up and win this one with ease.

We come in confident form, of course, but we would be foolish to write off United.

They will try and stifle us, and probably attempt man-mark Hazard & Jorginho out of the game. They will be most dangerous when lumping balls to Felaini, which they will do a lot I am sure.

If we win convincingly I think it will be the final nail in Mourinho's coffin.

I think this will be our toughest test so far.
Mourinho will park the bus, man-mark Hazard and they have the ability to hurt our vulnerable defence on the counter.

Annoyingly, I'm probably going to miss this game. I have a wedding to attend and I wish I turned down the invite now :dash1:

I'll have to try and find a stream on my phone. My brother is a United fan and he is going too so he is just as annoyed.

I somehow completely missed that we are in an international break... :JC_doubledown:

Really don't think there is a need for 2 international breaks prior to mid-October especially the same year as World Cup.

he'll try every dirty trick, playing on the verge of red card & gunning for hazard.

That's what worries me most. Things aren'y going their way right now and I have a feeling they'll take their frustrations out on Hazard.

Has ManU played any of the top 6 yet?

Yeah probably Herrera. If he does another red card coming his way if we have a semi competent ref.

This, and why when everyone is calling for a mid winter break, apparently every footballer is tired after the world cup (even if they didn't play) long haul pre season friendlies and pointless international friendlies we have the friggin UEFA Nations League

I think the UTD game If Hazard is going to be suffocated we could really let that provide space for Pedro and his out of the box striking ability! Maybe Ross whos high on confidence steps up to! Thoughts?

If that happens we should take advantage by getting Eden on the ball in the final third and get him picking up free kicks from any over keen attention he gets, we'll increase our chances of scoring if we do, last game we scored indirectly from a free kick, we need as many attacking options as possible, not just relying on Eden to pick it up and run at them.

So our recent home record against Man Utd is really quite impressive. We haven't lost at home to them since the Clattenburg game which was the beginning of the end for Robbie D.

Since then our home record against them in all competitions is W7 D1. That includes the Eto'o hat trick, the 4-0 spanking under Conte, but doesn't include the FA Cup Final last season. I can't imagine José is best pleased about that...

Expert prediction: Matic to scythe down Hazard at some point, then them both to grin at each other as Matic helps him to his feet. Mourinho to applaud respectfully from the sidelines. This will be one of ten fouls on Eden Hazard that afternoon.

Remarkable really, especially given that their 3-2 win under Clattenburg included an unjust sending off (Torres for diving when it actually should have been Evans getting a second yellow) and an offside winner from Hernandez.

I don't want to be 'that guy' but they didn't deserve that victory, they were gifted it from the joke of a ref that is Clattenburg.
