I totally agree that with the team and players that were at his disposal, any manager in the world could and should have won leagues and CLs. Maybe not dominated the world football, but should easily have been one of the best team in the world (like Bayern, they have not "dominated" european football, but are easily one of the best 3 teams in the world).
Pep's philosophy perfectly suited and fitted those barca players. It was a once in a lifetime pairing. But thats done. Done and dusted. At bayern, he got mauled in the semis (as CL is the only way to judge Bayern). But winning those bundesligas should hardly be a reason to celebrate. Bayern have won it, the day the league starts.
This (city) is Pep's real test. and he is failing massively. The extent of the failure is for all to see. You cant keep siting his barca domination as an excuse for Pep. That was a match made in heaven, get over it. Can he do it with any other team which does not have Messi, Xavi, Iniesta? Can he do it in a competitive league like PL? So far the answers seem to be a big fat NOOOO.

Too lazy to browse through the thread so I'll just say what may have already been said but I have to say it.
How refreshing it is to have a someone in charge who doesn't bitch and complain about bad decisions and doesn't hide behind made up excuses, who doesn't throw his own players under the bus and is full of integrity after the wfinal whistle, no matter what the result. Apparently you can have a winning mentality and still act in a dignified manner. Who knew.
Antonio has class. I'm proud of having him being our manager.

Veri'appy with Conte so far. He isn't rigid and affords opportunities to youngsters. Cautiously optimistic as it is a very long season and we are bound to hit some roadblocks. Also, our first 11 is quite strong but not sure if one of Hazard, Costa or Kante gets injured.

I still think we might fall short but Conte has exceeded all expectations so far.

Looking at the improvement of so many of our players all over the park, it makes you wonder what Conte can put together as a coach, IMO we have the best coach we have ever had (I am not saying manager, I am saying coach). When you look at the players that haven't made it here, it seriously makes you question how many would have had Conte been around. 
Now we know at this level it is a results based business, which nowadays means a coach/manager isn't afforded time, especially at our club. But I have to say as much as he was my first choice as the next manager, I have been massively impresssed by his coaching skills, how many of these players would have been undervalued by another incoming manager, indeed how many of them were written off by a lot of us. The improvement of so many individuals in so short a time proves Conte is something special, the likes of which I haven't encountered before at this club. 
I seriously think we can look forward to acquiring some outstanding, not necessarily today's star name(s), talent, and a bright future for the academy after all these years. 

he's scored 18 (i think 10 in bundesliga) and got 20 (15 in bundesliga) assists this season. i believe he's been playing as no.10. 

Also, why is the show not looking to follow the Catelyn story on, that would have been brilliant (maybe not for Brienne fans)

I agree about Remy...terribly underused by Jose and I don't understand why, given how he provides a different kind of threat and showed last season he can score key goals...if Mourinho doesn't fancy a player like him, I can't believe we can be interested in similar forwards like Vardy or Berahino

I haven't seen any further mention of Koscielny's 2 foot studs up challenge on Oscar either, where Oscar then got booked for retaliating.

I appreciate his honesty. Leave it to Daily Mail to sensationalize the headline. Cesc is saying that wherever he plays, he plays for his team and defends the shirt.  To be honest, he would have been an ungrateful pr*ck if he answered that he wasn't a gunner anymore after a few games for us. 

Don't get carried away with Mikel, he always performs great for his international side. If you don't believe me look at his African cup of nations performances.
