Now the dust has settled a bit we can take a step back and have a broader overview.  Sure we didn't get any marque signings per-se, but Morata looks the business. Caballero, Christensen, Drinkwater,Bakayoko, Zappacosta and Rudiger are decent players by any stretch of the imagination and they are not 30+ year olds, except Caballero perhaps; and with the players we already had I would suggest that there is an improvement in terms of quality and technical ability.
I think the only downside is that if we are still in all competitions towards the end of the season we may be a bit tired and thin on the ground....but the good news is there is another transfer window in January, so really the group we have only have to survive a few more months before we bring in fresh blood if required

Exactly. It's going to be a long, hard, durable season ahead where we need to pace ourselves so, if we had come out firing on all cylinders, fit as fleas, I for one would have been worried. Another thing, Morata hasn't been here 5 minutes, give the lad a chance to at least get his feet under the table.

The Mourinho season sounds like a good name for title winners struggling the following season. 

Ask the board, cause they do this. They should have buy someone in the winter and not sell almost all of our alternative option. From winter till now, they sold 11 players and last year Conte said our squad is thin.

The season starts in 13 days and our first 7 games are Burnley, Everton, Leicester, Arsenal, Stoke and City.
Our pre-season was short and it's fine if we lost if we fielded youth teams but we didn't. We fielded close to our full strength team with our most important player unavailable for at least a month and our main formation has been sussed out by European teams.

Tbf it's blatantly obvious we are woefully short in numbers. Our squad as is simply won't cope with the season ahead

In the minutes he's been given for us in competitive matches he has shown at the very least that he is competent in a number of positions and that he has potential and room for improvement. Absolutely miles ahead of Baba Rahman from what we've seen. Would rather we stick with him than just throw money at a position which isn't a massive issue.

Well I hope and wish for something much more, like Conte making it public to everyone that he doesn't have a preferred choice between Morata and Michy but both of them must use the preseason to fight for the starting spot. Yeah, I will like something like that because unlike most people here I can't really predict who might score the most goals or win us the most games between the two. So I think if both are given a fair chance, we will get the best out of them. But with the fee that brought Morata here and Conte always declaring his admiration for Morata, Michy might have to accept being a second choice striker again even if his performance is beats that of Morata in training and on the field, that's my biggest scare!

Yea you could be right on that one I mean it no secret we need a full back, since city bought 3 and shagged the market(who the f**k buys 3 full backs in one window must be a first) we have no choice but go for Sandro all in or accept someone not quite as good as we need, unless there is a fb out there I'm missing
