We officially have an incompetent board
Well at least that is a moderation on this..........."with this mentality there's absolutely no chance you'd be able to run a successful business, for one" I think some of those criticising you would surprise you greatly with what they can and have done. To me your approach to being a fan seems arid and narrow. These players and people you dismiss with a wave of your keyboard are people who are real and part of a living breathing thing called Chelsea football club. It has a heart and a soul and a long history in which this era is the most spectacular and extraordinary. Try knowing the value of what you have rather than just the cost or the ratings.

We officially have an incompetent board
I don't know who you are, but I'd hazard a guess that you are living in a very small universe.

We officially have an incompetent board
Did it ever occur to you that you are at completely the wrong club? You hate everything about it, the board, the players, and probably all those of us who don't hate the club.

Chopper article - telegraph anyone ?
According to the UK inflation calculator, in 1980 Chopper was earning about £1,121 a week in 2017 money. I recall reading in about 1983 that some top players in the 1st division were earning £800 ish, and I'm pretty sure there were a couple at Liverpool earning close to £2,000. I do recall being amazed about it all though. Seems nothing now, but sportsmen earning that kind of money a week back then seemed somehow shocking.

Atletico Madrid Vs Chelsea (CL) Wed 27 Sep 2017 KO 19:45 GMT
Well I'm loving this. What a great game, and now with the usual Chelsea drama. Who'd have even dreamt we'd have nights like this on a regular basis, even just 20 years ago. LOL. KTBFFH.

He's only repeating the attitude he finds here amongst the Fans.

ChelseaTV - Your view?
It seems a small price to pay for keeping up with the news, the academy, the ladies etc etc etc, and you get to see all of the recent match replayed about 4 times in full. £5 a month with a month free, or £49 for the year. Excellent value.

Stoke City Vs Chelsea (PL) Sat 23 Sep 2017 KO 15:00 GMT
Stoke's version of unlucky to lose is simply unlucky to meet a team like us, doing what we do: winning. It's why you're here, whatever team you actually support.

Definately. How's the weather up there on Nibiru btw?

Remembering liverpool vs chelsea 0-2
It ranks just a tad below the 4-4 (agg 7-5) Champs league quarter final game of 2008/2009 against the dippers. I liked the fact that we gave them the idea that they might just win (twice), and then went all medieval on their arses.

Who has the best chance of breaking into the first team?
Callum Hudson-Odoi. I don't wax lyrical about youth players, but this lad has what it takes to be a great player for us - quick, rugged, good football brain, excellent close skills, a thunderous and accurate shot. I think he's just about 17. I expect to see him in a walk on part soon, in fact I am surprised to see Sterling got in there ahead of him.

Chelsea Vs FK Qarabag (CL) Tue 12 Sep 2017 KO 19:45 BST
Ah, so they may have a little more than just a few curses to throw at us. Hmmm. Anything can happen in the next 90 minutes...............and will!

Chelsea Vs FK Qarabag (CL) Tue 12 Sep 2017 KO 19:45 BST
Qarabag sounds the sort of place you get to from platform 11 and a 1/2 at Kings Cross station, and where a wand in the luggage helps marvelously on arrival.

Leicester Vs Chelsea (PL) Sat 09 Sep 2017 KO 15:00 GMT
Doddle. We won at a canter. Still a few players looking to figure out what they can do in their role. But I though we played well without setting the world on fire. KTBFFH

Fernando Llorente
Did we really make a bid for another Moratta when we already had one? Maybe we were only interested up to the point that Conte got the type of forward he wanted in the bag!

Lofty's Wall of Sound - What are you listening to?
I am not a fan of Metal, but a very long time ago before that word was coined there was seriously heavy rock of which Black Sabbath's first two albums were the personification - I balked at Masters of Reality; it lacked charm in any form. One of my favourite tracks on their second album Paranoid was War Pigs and here is a 1974 live video from California. Keep your eyes on Bill Ward and Geezer Butler, it's mesmerising stuff, a rhythm section to rival even John Paul Jones and Bonzo..................

Your unpopular opinion about Chelsea
I love the club, top to bottom, good times and bad, I love all the players win lose or draw, because they are what I've got. No where near as popular an opinion these days as once it was, but there it is. KTBFFH.

Kante or Makelele??
Makalele was like the first edition of an evolving player type of which Kante is currently the latest........and the greatest. Makalele when he arrived at CFC was an absolute revelation that somehow Real Madrid had failed to realise was making the Galacticos Galactic. I loved that guy. His tracking and tackling was a thing of beauty.

Your all time Chelsea front three. Who would you choose?
Oh my, where to even begin. George Hilsden maybe, 164 appearances and 107 goals! Jimmy Greaves 169/132 .I even liked Sutton. No one seems to be mentioning the marvellous Tore Andre Flo, or Jimmy Floyd Hasselbank. I can't choose three, it would be a crime. Each of our forwards had his time and with a couple of notable exceptions it was the right time for Chelsea. :) KTBFFH.

The guy is pure ARSENAL. It was the moment as Kyle walker tried to storm down the right, was clipped and the ball spilled loose just two yards from the OX who did not a thing to attempt to reclaim it as if he expected Walker to somehow pass it direct to his feet from the floor. The look of utter disgust on Walkers face at the OX was very telling indeed. Whatever power was hovering above this club in 2012 is clearly still doing its best for us even in the transfer market.

Deadline Day Drama
So we essentially aren't offering enough money? And Chamberlain's decision to accept 120 grand as opposed to 180 grand is an exception to the rule? I strongly suspect that CFC does indeed review all its procedures and hold inquests over what may or may not have failed in its corporate approach to dealing with clubs and players. The subtext of my comment was the judgement of someone outside the business of both football and CFC is a judgment founded on not a lot. And the future employment of a CFC staffer is hardly an area about which any of us can have much to say that amounts to a bag of Werthers Originals.:)

Deadline Day Drama
I read an interesting article by Danny Somebloke in today's Standard that had a slightly different slant on the whole thing from the point of view of a professional player with long standing personal experience in the football business. He talked of the way players often think about which club to accept or reject , as opposed to the business you are clearly very experienced in. Danny Somebloke talked about the personal side of things, noting in doing so that footballers may look like commodities but are in fact human and operate outside the scope of blue sky thinking at board room level, and instead may actually have very personal reasons for choosing to work at a particular club or with a particular manager. The article actually focuses on Arsenal but does have a wee snippet concerning the reason Chamberlain may have chosen Liverpool over us, for example. I'm pretty sure though that the sentiments expressed could be extrapolated across a whole range of other instances in which our club fails to have a player sign for what we know to be the only club in the world, with the only manager in the world, and all the money in the world, that any intelligent footballer would ever consider signing for - Chelsea. I'll just leave it here for you to take a glance at............. https://www.standard.co.uk/author/danny-murphy
