I just don't think SWP is good enough for Chelsea - yes a Premiership player but not a top 4 or 5 team player. He could light up an average team but is too average for a good team.

Fergie never thinks the ref adds on enough time at the end of a game, unless the Manks are losing in which case not enough time is added on. When a Mank goes down in the box it's a fair penalty, when their opposition goes down the ref was blind. Wenger never sees an incident on the field.

for me it's Bates, RA and Hoddle. Hoddle because he brought Gullit and Hughes to the Bridge which really started to shape the way things went for us, and ultimately RA would not have bought Chelsea without all that. Bates is obvious and whilst I hated his personality I do believe we would be no more had he not dug his heels in and fought for Stamford Bridge.

I am still depressed. Was in NYC for the weekend, went to a pub called Nevada Smiths which was full of mancs and scalliewags (though the mancs were pretty quiet after their FT whistle). what happened to the days when managers were given a season or two or three to build a team and methods? Jeez the guy has had a few months in charge, we have had a ton of injuries, ANC, stupid friendlies and so on. Why do we expect instant success? 3rd in the league, league cup final, still in CL, and FA cup and it's March tomorrow. We have been spoiled by winning the EPL and other silverware in the past 10 years but prior to that the guy would have been seen as a god. Not every year can every team win win win. Chill guys please.

as usual good post Butch. There is little to add, we didn't look hungry for it, I still cannot understand why Joey C didn't start, we didnt' string any passes together and really hardly attacked their goal. to be honest our football has been boring long before Grant took over. Not sure that we would have won this under Jose either.
