well it leaves us with fewer stupid games mid season when we end up travelling to some godforsaken northern town. Ok so it's embarrassing to go out to a lesser team but when all is said and done we want to win the EPL and the CL don't we? So how much does it really matter apart from lost pride?

I am in the camp of those who don't give a rat's ars* about England any more. I used to care a whole lot more but agree it should be an English manager for one, and secondly since the players don't care much I don't see why I should. England in the 90s were the best we had in a long time. By rights and on paper we should be way better than we are. However, it's always been club before country for me.

agree with you Loz would love to see 1-11 back in use. Then I would know when a defender had scored!! It would help over here where American commentary is so crap, at least they would know where to expect players to be on the pitch. I hate to rain on your parade but I think the instructions on the card were there for the last few seasons since they did away with the paper season tickets. The instructions are there for the jobsworth at the turnstile, he has to read them each time which is why it takes so bloody long to get into the stand. I don't suppose the turnstiles have been made any bigger?

Now that the big flare up regarding Lamps and Kenyon has hit the papers - whether he wants to stay or go seems to be about money. With us commoners worrying that petrol is up a few pence or cents these top footballers are earning millions per year. Is it unreasonable for them to want parity with their teamates when they are already earning ridiculous amounts? Is it fair? Is another 100,000 a year going to make any difference to their already opulent life? Does it sicken you? Yes it's the same with sportsmen around the world, and actors, etc etc. There is no going backwards but it just seems unreal.
