Club appeal Lampard red card

The club have decided to appeal Frank's red card against West Ham, Shocker eh?

I hope the appeal goes through(as it should do) as the games he is scheduled to miss are Barnsley, Derby and Sunderland, I don't see us notwinning them without Frank but I believe that these games would be perfect for picking a settled team and sticking to it so that after (hopefully) three wins confidence will be high leading into the buisness end of the season.

Considering Boro's 'frivelous' appeal most recently, in which Aliadiere was handed an extra games ban, i think this is a dodgy decision from us.

We could have well beaten those three teams without Lamps, and if our appeal is unsuccessful, he also could be handed an extra games' ban, which would more importantly rule him out of our home clash against Arsenal

I hope this doesnt come back to bite us in the Le Arse.

I didn't think the game against Arsenal was in question 300.gif Thought it was Tottenham he would miss if it was 'frivelous'? Think there is a good chance of sucess becuase I think Grant said the Referee claimed Lampard pushed him on the face, when clearly, he didn't touch Boa Morte's face.

aliadiare and lampards were both sent of because they were seen to attack the face. in aliadiares case he did. therefore his 3 match ban stood. the extra game was a joke. but lampard didnt actually catch that little rats face. so the fa have a way out of this if they want. wether they do is another matter.

Don't think that the FA will say they were wrong, and to be honest, I don't think our opposition in the upcoming matches are that crucial that we would need Lampard anyway. Essien looks like he needs a bit of confidence back, so maybe time to give him a run out

good news indeed, did they give him a yellow instead or nothing at all?

Not allowed to downgrade from red to yellow. If the offence had been worthy of a card of any colour they would have thrown out the appeal.

About time a sensible decision was made, maybe if Referee's learn that the powers that be have started actually looking at events before they make a ruling on them they will think harder before taking their linesmans word even though half the time he's further from the incident than they are.

I'm not sure why the ref, who was meters away from the incident, took the word of a linesman who was much further away, and who did not have a clear view (was watching incident from behind).

Good decision by the FA. I had my money on them extending his ban like they did to Middelsbourough though.

Ah it's clear now, the liney was distracted by Frank's behind!!

Finally, an acceptable excuse.
