An interesting thread and one that makes me wonder where the hell are the good Scots players nowadays? We had a slew of great players, some workhorses and some crappy ones but nonetheless there were a lot of them playing in the old Div 1. Add players like Dalgleish, Souness, Strachan etc who played elsewhere and it doesn't make any sense that Scotland can't seem to produce the number of players that are good enough to make it to the EPL. Is there an academy in Scotland? What if anything are Scotland doing to produce players?

I am gonna go against the general concensus here and I think we missed Terry more than Cech. I think given time Carlo (who was never expecting to step in for Petr) would have been just as commanding. We missed the leadership from our skipper, the defence fell to bits and in my opinion our midfield didnt play quite as good without JT shouting from the back. He is a rock in both boxes, tall and strong, both defensive and as an attacker.
