Alvaro Morata
50 odd million apparently, but only at the end of the season once the loan is finished. Good business from us, and in all honesty for a transfer window where we can't sign anyone (apart from Kovacic and Higuain) this has actually been a really good window (minus the sale of Hazard obviously) The amount of deadwood we have already gotten rid of is amazing. This UEFA rule on the amount of loanees we can have is turning out into a blessing as we really dont have enough squad space to be filling it up with players like Morata with a weak mentality. Hoping to see even more sales being made, with our war chest be built nicely. I can already tell next summer is going to be massive for us in the amount we spend.

Charly Musonda jr.
what a shame, another touted youngster turns out got too big for his boots and is pretty much sh*t now. Following the likes of our long list of youth failures that people thought was gonna be the next big thing.......

Alvaro Morata
getting 50m from athletico would be amazing. Imagine getting all the money we paid for this fraud! We can start saving up our money nicely by making loads of sales in this window and the next, and come next summer we go in HUGE! We've already made about 115m from offloading Hazard and other bitpart players. Obviously 40, went to Kovacic, but we still have 75m laying about. Add the 50m from Morata and possibly sales of other players we could easily be pushing 200-250m

Our Youth on Loan
Pasalic signed a new contract and loaned back out to Atlanta.... Waste of time if you ask me. Does he even count as a youth anymore? Pretty sure he's in his mid-20's atm

So Franks been in the job for a massive 10hrs now. what's your opinion of his tenure so far?
Maybe this signals the future, and he'll be given more of a chance that were abandoned at the first sign of trouble. Can see Lamps staying for quite a few years unless something goes horribly wrong.

Fikayo Tomori
Where did you get that from? Messi pretty much dragged Argentina to the final in 2014 by himself....
-
Fikayo Tomori
Well that tournament is pretty much the highest level he has played at, and he didnt do well there.
-
Higuain
Drogba and Costa are the clear standouts. Aside from them, you could even argue that when we bough Anelka he was way past his prime (despite still actually not being too bad for us)
-
Higuain
He only went downhill due to the death of kids in his family which deeply affected his personal life... Cant blame him at all.

Who will top the list of biggest spenders this summer window?
Champions league finalists is how he ended up going there. Otherwise Spurs wouldnt have even been on his radar. But regarding this thread, answer definitely has to be Real madrid this season surely? Can possibly see Barca being up there if they sign Neymar back. PSG and City also always up there regardless anyway, especially City. Heard they're looking to spend another few hundred million on defenders again ?

Kalidou Koulibaly
Pretty much a bigger, stronger Zouma. Not sure if hes worth anywhere near the price being touted. I feel like these smaller clubs just put ridiculous prices on, simply because of teams like PSG, Utd and City mainly throwing huge sums without a care in the world.

Higuain
Glad to see the back of this chump. Jesus when it comes to picking strikers, we really are terrible. The majority are over the hill. About time we changed strategy i think? More than happy to have just Giroud and Tammy this season seeing as we cant make any signings.

Fikayo Tomori
after watching the u21 world cup, can safely say that I doubt he'll ever become a regular starting XI for us. SImply not good enough im afraid, despite all the hype as a youth player. he'll be following the likes of a Lewis Baker
-
Juan Castillo
Not sure how good he is as I havent seen him play, but it must be a big deal to offer him a contract

Chelsea's next manager - evergreen post
Why the f**k have we not announced this yet? Its turning into another typical summer window for us and Im sick of it. At this rate we're not going to annouce a manager until the end of preseason, and come the season beginning is when we'll start working our team together, going to drop a ton of points at the beginning of the season then towards the end probably end up sacking Lamps and go through the same charade again. Really are a strange strange team when it comes to things like this.

Chelsea Loan Army
Never liked Ferdinand. He always seemed like an overrated fraud to me who was lucky to have Vidic aslongside him to make him look much better than he was. Got absolutely nothing on JT.

Our Youth on Loan
I guess you are right, and thats sad to see. He has potential to be a great player, but I guess it is true that his height would effect it. But when someone like Wan Bissaka is going for over 50m when last year nobody had even heard of him, letting Jay go for 2/3 seems abysmal. But I do agree in the sense that because of the new loan rules (which I actually like tbh) that we will be losing a lot of younger players. Quite frankly though, a lot of them will actually never be good enough to play in the premier league despite how good they were at youth level. I mean just look at people like Bamford and Baker who people wanted to be in our first team just a few years ago, and now they seem like they're going to be championship players for the rest of their careers. Maybe even League 1.

Our Youth on Loan
Wow just a measly 2-3m in todays market? Terrible if you ask me. Especially when you see one season wonders who are of similar age getting touted for much MUCH higher than that.
-
Our Youth on Loan
Me too, and I hope there is a buyback clause. He certainly has the potential to be a top fullback in the future. Only time will tell how it goes. the fee was also undisclosed though i cant see it being much higher than 10m

Our Youth on Loan
Goodbye Jay Dasilva, a shame that hes been sold tbh! But good luck to the lad, I hope he does well and maybe someday he'll be back playing for us!
-
Ola Aina
First Aina, now Dasilva too ?
-
Reece James
Dasilva has been sold to Bristol as of yesterday. Tomori and Bats I cant see being with us for the season, and not sure whats happening with Zouma as I think he might be getting sold.

Marcin Bulka
Okay yeah, thats a reasonably fair assumption to make. I certainly do rate Bulka above the likes of Blackman and Baxter. But it's still VERY early days to tell how hes going to turn out. The next few years will be crucial to him, and I hope he does stay as I believe he could become a perfect number 2
-
Marcin Bulka
I get that, but Green left so its only really Cabellero to compete with (who he's inferior too atm anyway) so is it really that bad? Some young players are getting far too impatient these days. He could easily have waited a year or 2 and been given the 2 spot without question.
-
Marcin Bulka
And im asking what are you basing this on? Also you're forgetting 70m in todays market is not what it used to be. Someone who is now Spain's number 1 keeper, only 24 years old with potential to get even better than he is. I think 70m is somewhat justified in todays crazy hyperinflated market. Its hard to estimate how good a youth player will end up at all, so its silly to say he could be as good as Kepa. By that logic I can just say Nathan Baxter could be as good as Peter Shilton, but there's simply no basis to make a comment like that. Look at how many amazing youth players we've had over the years who were touted for great things, and then look where they are now....
