Poor Thiago and Azpi in a back 4 against that front 3. *shudders* They deserve better.

Because he's clueless. If he wants to give farewells to a couple of players, which is the only explanation, start them on the bench, bring them on.

So it's Pochettino...and now officially gone!
It was around WC time, I think. Club talked about surgery, specialist surgeon(s) said surgery wasn't necessary. I ain't no medico but I'd've thought protecting a knee, consciously or subconsciously, could stress other parts of the leg.

Kai Havertz
Yup. In Germany he was a hybrid 10/midfielder running into the box. Never played 9 until Chelsea and it was by default. And a waste.

Wesley Fofana at Chelsea *Official*
Sadly Koulibaly came to the PL about three years too late. Chelsea were interested in him longer ago than that but Napoli wouldn't sell.

Pochettino will cuddle when need be and not when need be. It's man management. He's good at it.

Reasons for optimism
Yes he did. I loved Timo. On the bright side - given that this is an optimism thread - Nkunku doesn't need the space Timo did, he's better in tight spaces, better skills on the ball. Plus he can play anywhere across the front.

Reasons for optimism
The bottom line is that Lukaku doesn't want to return to Chelsea. He has reiterated it here in Italy only recently. Just as the only reason he came to Chelsea in the first place was because Inter needed the money. He didn't want to leave Inter. He was happy in Italy, he still is. Chelsea failed in their due diligence when buying him in the first place. Given that, Inter have Chelsea over a barrel. They can screw us on another loan deal because they know the alternative - him returning to Chelsea - satisfies no one.

Basically a re-run of Lampard Mk 1. He has learned absolutely zilch.

Lewis Hall - Our next big Homegrown prospect!
Enzo was getting angry at a number of his teammates. For good reason. I like the guy.

Nail on head. Whingers grizzling that Pochettino has never won anything. He kept Spurs punching way above their weight season after season, got them to a CL final. Levy's thanks was to thwart him.

Lewis Hall - Our next big Homegrown prospect!
Yes, defensively naïve. Bound to be at 18. At least one stunning defensive tackle on I forget who.

Levi Colwill
Levi strikes me as incredibly immature.

Mrs Silva said recently he would be at Chelsea next season. She doesn't mess around with her opinions.

Carney Chukwuemeka
RLC currently has a shedload more experience. Carney has the higher ceiling. Let's see what Pochettino can do with him.

Random Rumours
And Navas has been massively inconsistent. Some top efforts, some howlers. Bit like the incumbent. We don't want like-for-like.

Manual Ugarte
It's La-La Land.

Reece James
He was listed as out for the season with the hammy. Ruled out of the England squad for the hammy. It beggars belief. Did he have a recurrence of the knee problem this season or am I imagining it? Last season surgeons ruled out the need for knee surgery. Knees and hammies can be related (apart from their obvious proximity to each other!)

BlueCo buy Chelsea FC
His name had been bandied around, like it was at Chelsea. I suspect they're running out of options now. They seem to be caught in a bind between appointing a DoF first or a manager. A DoF is preferable but they seem no closer on that front.

BlueCo buy Chelsea FC
Reasons To Be Cheerful Part 4 (with apologies to Ian Dury): Spurs are in deeper doo-doo than Chelsea. Arne Slot has now turned them down. No manager, no DofF. Where to now, Daniel?

So Lukaku is a bit of a Bawbag...
Cazzo in Italian sort of covers it. If he's reading this in Milan.

Levi Colwill
What exactly does this mean? Methinks he's prone to VD.

You beat me to it! He's a dead-ball wizard but, otherwise, a pretty pedestrian midfielder.

Mason Mount
Midfielders over LBs by 2:1. Wonder if she's a box to boxer.
