Well the fact that Man Utd are weakened makes a VERY big difference!! Deco is our creative player. I don't think its a question of whether Deco can cut it in the Premier League, but a question of whether he can stay fit and on form. If he stays like he is now (not absolutely brilliant, but still good), I don't see what we could bring in that could replace him...Pirlo, but thats about it, isn't it? Deco's vision and 'creativity' is second to none and provided Carlo finds the right role for him this season, he could really flourish in this league. But realistically, I don't see him replacing Lampard, Essien or Mikel any time soon.

Honestly, there's only one marquee signing we can make: ANDREA ZOLA!!! I'm not even joking...

Shame how Hleb's career went down the drain...I actually thought he was Arsenal's best player before he was sold. Oh well...

I'm pretty sure we all thought he was going, but I'm glad he's staying. A top quality player if there ever was one and like I've said a number of times, he still has a lot to offer...I reckon we could get another 2 good seasons out of him.

Probably not his best moment, but I'd love to have seen it! Just want to add that Anelka is Avram's legacy! We should all be thinking about that sexy beast when Anelka scores!!

I have to say Anelka's really growing on me, not just for last season but for the fact that the more I watch him, the better he seems to get. I don't think there is a better alternative to Anelka at the moment in terms of speedy finishers

Thought I'd resurrect this thread as it's kind of 'mid-close season'. Right now I'd say our 'Outs' list may look something like: Belletti Mancienne (Loan) Shevchenko Pizzaro Sinclair I can't see us offloading anyone else. I've been in two minds about Deco, but I've said before it'd be great to see him get back to top form, he has a lot to offer and it seems Carlo still see's something in him! I have a strong feeling Mancienne will go to Wolves on loan again and if thats the case I don't think we should be letting Carvalho go. Ins: Can't actually think of anyone??!?! We've been going on about a marquee signing, but we haven't been promised one. We've only been told that if one becomes availaible we might go for them...nothing concrete! I'd like to see a few good Youths come in. What happened to that Serbian guy...Matic?

He's currently rated 82 for acceleration I think...not sure about sprint though...I think Malouda's similar

After reading the Kenyon comments on SSN, I think its pretty obvious that Terry's staying, but may be after a new contract. Despite what people think of him, Kenyon wouldn't be making statements like "We are very confident he will be leading us in the years to come." if he wasn't sure of Terry's status, as it might cause the club embarassment if the transfer does occur. Again, people might think he's an idiot, but its worth givin him a little bit of credit. As for Terry's silence, it probably has a lot to do with his contract...I for one won't be angered if he signs a lucrative new contract, who couldn't do with a little bit more money?

Odds for Aguero don't look too good.

I guess if true, this blows the Pirlo rumour out of the water. With this guy as a backup midfielder to Mikel and Essien (with ACN in mind), there's really no reason to sign anyone else in midfield.
