THESE PLAYERS I RECON WILL BE SHOWN THE DOOR IN THE SUMMER.

CARVALHO, HE'S BEEN A GREAT PLAYER BUT HE PICKS UP MORE KNOCKS THAN COLLYMORE'S MRS PLUS THE EMERGENCE OF ALEX AND IVANOVIC AND THE YOUNG MANCIEN COULD BE A HUGE FACTOR.

DECO, WHY THE HELL DID WE BUY HIM??????????????????

BALLACK, END OF CONTRACT BUT THE 1 YEAR WE OFFERED HIM MIGHT NOW BE WITHDRAWN?

CAN I JUST ADD I WOULD LOVE TO SEE YOUNG SCOTT SINCLAIR GIVEN A GO NEXT YEAR THE BOY HAS BEEN GOOD WHEN LOANED OUT PLUS BAGS OF PACE WHICH WE LACK AT TIMES.

WHAT DO YOU THINK??

This thread is in the wrong topic heading, this is for non-Chelsea football threads.

Anyway, until this season, Riccy has been very durable for us, so I don't think we should sell him just because he has had a few injuries this season.

As for Deco, are you serious in your question that you do not know why we bought him? Does Felipe Scolari mean anything to you?

Personally I would let Ballack go. Not because I think he has nothing to offer but more because I feel there is a time where a club has to move on players with limited careers ahead of them and concentrate on the future. For me that time is now for Ballack. I am a little disappointed we have offered him a one year extension although with the ACN being next year I can see the reasoning behind it.

Deco is an easy option for most people but I would only release him if we are going to bring in a replacement - we musn't go into next season with a squad boasting a central midfield collection of Essien, Lampard, Ballack and Mikel.

I would let Belletti go as I see no reason to keep him. I would personally hang on to Ferreira but I can see the arguments for letting him go as we would have Bosingwa, Ivanovic and Mancienne who can all play right back.

My less popular choice would be to let Alex go but if, and only if, Carvalho is content with the idea that his days as an automatic first choice are over. This has nothing to do with the form Alex has shown (which for me has been excellent) but more to do with the fact that I think Ivanovic is the better long term prospect and it is not going to be possible to keep both Alex and Ivanovic happy as only one will get regular games.

Obvious departees are Mineiro and Quaresma. I also think Kalou will be released.

Assuming Roma dont improve and dont manage a CL place next season then i would love for us to put in a cheeky bid for Aquilani, would really like to see him here.

we didn't need deco we have enough midfielders let him go and bring in a winger which would inject some more pace and cover for the flanks that benzema would be a handy player too!

I think the following will leave: Percy, Belletti, Deco, Ballack, and Kalou.

Might leave: one of Anelka or Drogba. Maybe Malouda.

The big thing is who we replace them with, and that all comes down to who our manager will be. I've said before, but I hope we get a manager sorted out as soon as the season ends as that will allow us to start building a team straight away. Not that I think Scolari was a good manager, but he was certainly given very little time to assemble a squad

Definitely out: - Ferreira, Deco, Mineiro, Carvalho

Maybe out: - Kalou, Ballack, Joey, Belletti, Drogba, Anelka, Malouda

Youngsters to make the first team squad next year: - Mancienne, di Santo, Stoch, Woods, Cork

Youngsters on the periphery next year: - Kakuta, Mellis, van Aanholt, Bertrand, Bruma, Hutchinson

Well put BlueBeard. Would love to see us get some of the young uns onto the bench and getting more of a run out. DOubt all 5 of them will make the first team, but should be pushing for a chance.

I had actually forgotten about Miniero and Paulo.....

Mineiro's a waste of space. He played one game and was terrible. We didn't even end up needing him thanks to Mikel...

Ferreira is anything but. But if we're not going to play him, we should let him move on, as he's a very good player and he's not getting any younger. I probably rate him over Mancienne as a right-back, but it's not really fair on him to have to rot on the bench, especially as he is a very high quality player, and he suffers from a lack of confidence as it is.

spot on. have no idea quite how good mineiro is based on one game, but he was the most unnecessary signing we've ever made.

paulo is my preferred rightback. I think if he had the backing of the manager and played regularly then there would be no debate. but in reality that will never happen, and between bosingwa, mancienne and ivanovic we're well covered and that position is not a worry.

it's a shame, but he deserves to play regularly.

I see your Mineiro and raise you a Pierre Issa!! In all seriousness , we are probably playing Minerio about 20k a week or something. Fair play to the bloke. I can only recall seeing him once (against Burnley)

You dont need me to tell you i agree with you about Paulo!

Mineiro will be the first player to leave. Unless we get Ancelotti...

Shevchenko won't be welcomed back. Unless we get Ancelotti...

Pizzaro will probably leave because he's been good in the Bundesliga and so he'll comand a higher transfer fee now.

Malouda might leave, again because he'll be more attractive to other clubs and we could recoup much of the money we paid for him.

Quaresma will likely go back to Inter, or be sold on by them.

Belletti has been pretty much surplus to requirements...he can pop up with the odd goal, but not really gonna be our back up righ back and is pretty back playing in Mikel's role.

Deco has not been as good as he was at the beginning of the season and with Scolari gone, his motivation for playing at Chelsea may have dwindled...he's getting old too.

Paulo deserves to be played more...we also have a lot of cover for right back and after seeing Bosingwa play at left back, I think we have cover there too.

Agree with all of the above, and also agree that those are the ones who SHOULD go. I'm afraid we will lose Carvalho though, and I'm really hoping we don't get rid of Quaresma (unless we get Zhirkov), as we definitely need more depth on the wings.

Losing Carvalho, Paulo, and Belletti will leave us with 3 CB's and only one true RB. I would prefer to hold onto either Paulo or Belletti for backup to Bosingwa. Ivan is good backup but what if JT or Alex goes down in combination with Bosingwa?

I agree. Would love to see Scott Sinclair to be given a bit more chance though Joe Cole will be back and will be in the team.

I would prefer to loan Sinclair to a premier league team for say 2-3 years to get some good experience and come back to us. Same with mancienne - he is chelsea future. But while we have Terry/Alex/Ivanovic (forgetting Carvalho as think he will go), then he isnt going to get enough first team and needs to go on loan for a few years and build up some premier league experience

Scott SInclair has been hit and miss (and more often miss in recent years) in his loan deals to Championship sides - I can't see a Premiership side wanting to take him on a long term loan. I fear he may be one of those players who threatened to be good but never developed sufficiently.

I think you should stop shouting.

Brilliant

But I think we should get rid of Deco, without a doubt, but keep Ballack till his contract expires then he can go end his career in Germany for the German equivalent of Accrington Stanley.

And about Scott Sinclair, I'd much rather see Stoch given a chance rather than him. Stoch has shown more promise in his 20 minutes for us than Sinclair has his whole life for us. IMO anyway.

I think thats the problem - his Championship loan deals. He seemed to have some good loan deals but wasnt there long enough. Someone like Bolton/Blackburn (someone mid table) or even someone being promoted should take him on loan. After all, it would be beneficial for us to get some premiership experience and I cant see him being on alot so even if we pay half the wages and the other club pay the other half?

He reminds me of Ashley Young. I watched Ashley Young and Watford and Under 21s and he looked ok. Aston Villa got hold of him and play him all the time and he is getting better and better
