  1. not so sure about that, are you thinking of the right bloke?
  2. Right, last try, to all who've said Luiz is a CB, end of, what position was Mikel playing before JM tried shoehorning into DM? And is Luiz so one dimensional that CB is all he can play. You may be right that Luiz is not the answer but I'd like to see for myself, and if Mikel is the answer, wtf was the question?
  3. But isn't there a bit of you that would like to find out for sure?
  4. Obviously we're not going to agree on this one, but please tell me why Mikel should be in the team, because if a good DM needs to have good positional sense, tackling ability and able to turn defence into attack, then in my opinion we need an alternative to Mikel. Please don't consider this a knee jerk reaction based on one game.
  5. I admit that it is only a hypothetical argument but, as you readily state Luiz can be inconsistant, I would rather he was inconsistant with a back 4 behind him, as you also state he is a fine passer of the ball, surely one of the traits of a good DM is the ability to turn defence into attack, thirdly you state his positional awareness is suspect, again I'd rather this happened with a back 4 behind him. Lastly Mikel, he didn't just have a bad game on Sunday, the way he played was the norm rather than the exception I'm afraid.
  6. Shift Luiz into Mikel's position, you get someone who can tackle and break forward and remove the threat ( a bit) of a last line of defence cockup.
  7. £12 down the pisser, back on the treadmill monday.
  8. Fox and Pheasant for me too, like has been said, only when weather allows.
  9. no need for thanks! if I can spread a bit of remedial grammar about as I wend my weary way..........
  10. don't mean to be picky but you're is short for "you are" I think you meant "your" carry on!
  11. I don't understand why Robbie Savage is holding the hammer or who the bloke with tits is supposed to be.
  12. Bad news (if true) but good news too in a way, he's chosen to leave now, at the very pinnacle of Chelsea's achievements, it won't get much better than this! If he'd chosen to stay for another year or two and maybe not turned up for every match, maybe not scored those typical buccaneering type goals he's famous for, got slower, more injury prone etc. then it would all detract from the legend we think he is, let him go now (painful) but keep his place in every true blues' hearts forever. Amen.
  13. Should be more tickets for fans too.
  14. I couldn't press the "like this" button but I think you're right.
  15. Torres! well chuffed for him, if it helps send that pile of sh*te back down to the Championship, so much the better.
  16. I reckon he might be worth a punt, send him out on loan for a season or two, see how he shapes up,
  17. A huge well done to Robbie and the boys! Anyone notice how fast the ball came back into play for throw-ins and corners? There must have been an army of "loaded" ball boys at the Nou Camp, sometimes a new ball seemed to appear before the matchball even left the pitch!

  19. AVB was always on a hiding to nothing, with the level of expectation at Chelsea when will there ever be time to give the team the overhaul it desperately needs?
  20. I'm fairly sure you have the choice of whether to buy one or not, think this shirt looks fine.
  21. I'm pleased to say this thread is nearest and dearest rivals so that counts the dippers out!
  22. King Kenny'll be needing another stress induced break from the scousers soon, the man looks broken.
