We've gone for a top manager time and again with varying levels of success ( JM excepted) I think we just need a manager with potential like, Steve Clarke, Poyet, Zola etc. Get them in, give them time, and watch them grow with the team, how else are we going to compete with the likes of Man U?

I think the question is, do any of the board act on their own initiative at all? If they do, then they deserve all they get.

I can understand the "why get rid of RDM only to appoint Poyet" arguement however, I'm sure RA + lapdogs didn't realise quite how shyte Bunitez was going to be.

Trouble is, we sold our soul years ago, not just us but the professional game full stop. Delete club, insert business/ project/ corporation/ enterprise etc run by non footballing people who see us as a cash cow, nothing more. All we have are fond memories of how it used to be and a bitterness of how things are now and ever will be, for all of us who pay through the nose for a " Premiership experience", we end up with the palest imitation of what our national game is about .

I don't get some of the negativity around Luiz in midfield, perhaps I'm wrong but I want a DM to break up opposition attacks, be a ball winner and start our own attacks, all of which Luiz is doing, far better than Mikel, Ramires or Frankie. Or does being a DM purely revolve around the ability to stand 10yds in front of the back 4?

If I was on 150k (?) per week I'd play barefoot on hot coals, tummy bug.........Bless.
