Wembley 97, 16 years ago today
Remebmer my son jumping on my back, the way Zola did Di Matteo in the post match celebrations whilst being interviewed by the BBC (I wasn't at Wembley) - he's 21 now and about 18 stone, so I kept well out of his way on Wednesday night!

Terry and the full kit thing
Bollocks; even without him we had established ourselves as a top six club; won the cup twice and lost one final in the immediate six seasons before he arrived. We may not have progressed to overshadow lesser teams like Barcelona and Bayern the way we have, bur we'd still have been contenderes in the top flight

New strip...
...I hate those socks already! Too much blue; the strip needs the contarst of white socks- they look like half-hearted 'away' socks. Booooo

Chelsea v Shakhtar Donetsk (CL) 7/11/12 KO 19:45 GMT
Shabby as it was , I think this game will engender some belief within the side, as critical as it was. I prophesise this game will be the turning point; we will conquer all-comers from now on... OK, I admit it; I'm pissed.

Torres - The "Groundhog Day" Thread
I think we have not seen anything like the best from Torres yet; quietly confident of his second coming.

Chelsea v Barcelona (CL SF 1st Leg) 18/04/12 KO 19:45 BST
Never mind 'goal-line' technology, how about 'Penalty-box' technology; would come in handy against these people - I can see Mata and Ramires making darting runs into the box, inviting trip-ups from their clumsy defence.

Chelsea V Tottenham (FA Cup SF) 15/05/12 KO 18:00 BST
Nothing wrong with that second goal; makes agreat avatar too; red line added just to emphasise what constitutes a 'goal' in Association Football - the spherical object known as the football, has simply to pass completely over the line. We managed this five times yesterday.

Chelsea v Man Utd (PL) 05/02/12 KO 16:00 GMT

A move from Stamford Bridge
I remember seeing gleaming new plans and fancy models for a 'New Stamford Bridge' c1971; we ended up with a monolith of a an East Stand and no team. Anyone can dream up fancy computer generated pictures these days; it doesen't mean jack-sh*t. No-one is going to convince me that we can't fit in a big enough ground if we knock down the hotel and push back the West stand by about 75 feet. This cannot cost more than building a new stadium on a derelict power station south of the Thames. I trust NO-ONE on this one; there has to be an ulterior motive for leaving SW6! MK Dons anyone?
-
If we had to move...... Your preference and why?
Has to be Earls Court; we CANNOT go south of the river!

The dirty word....transition
As long as the transition does not last as long as Arsenal's

Chelsea vs West Brom (PL) 20/08/11 KO 1730 BST
Thought Torres looked out of place in this game- no support for him either. Was about to die when Long came cloes the second time; good thing his passing was as sh*tty as ours. Two games in and I'm pulling my hair out already - and I don't have much left!
-
The New Kit!
The black and orange was the best away strip for some time, in my humble opiinion
-
The New Kit!
Whoever is responsible for this kit design is expecting a huge wage packet from Adidas; I agree with the bit about the poxy stripes- bring back Umbro!

Shed End Mural
Has to be number 6; this is a great reminder of the view you got of the gable end of the old East Stand, as you ascended from the turnstiles into the Shed at the Whitewall. Sorry if this has already been said- I was that glad to see this I didn't bother reading the other posts: if it is not this one or the negative version prior to it that is chosen, I SHALL COMPLAIN!

The Return of Terraces
??? Are peoples legs removed when they are allocated a seat? - The only thing that would have stoped the Stevenage supporter was the very thing that killed those poor bar stewards at Hillsborough; the ferkin cages to stop people getting on the pitch. Ok so one looney chins a player now and again; having his arse on a seat won't stop that, AND NO-ONE EVER DIED IN A PITCH INVASION!

The Return of Terraces
Good one!
-
Carlo: should he go or should he stay? (merged)
Ditto. That would be the only way for me too, though it's a tad mercenary.

The Run In
All we can do is keep winning and hope those in red self destruct

Chelsea v Man United (CL) 06/04/11 KO 19:45 BST
1-0 to us at the Bridge; 1-1 at their place. It is written

The Return of Terraces
I'd be all for it, used to stand regularly in the Shed- don't recall anyone being injured (not by crowd action anyway). The clubs would have to decrease the entrance fees somewhat if this hapened- which is why it won't happen. It would allow peasants like me to travel into town and attend football matches. The government would rather middle class twats attended 'soccer' games insrtead of people like me who really appreciate football.
