Exactly. I've no issue here at all though no doubt I will get blown out of all proportion. Matic wasn't ready and was used in an important deal for Chelsea to buy a player who has gone on to do well for us. If the KDB money goes towards it too then I don't think anyone can moan really.

I don't think we want or need that type of player at all. We need a player who can pass and move and play a quick ball in the middle of the park, whether that player is Matic I have no idea.

If PSG did want Hazard, and if Hazard wanted to go, then PSG would have to pay big for it. Hazard has the potential to become one of the top 2-3 players in the world. Bale went for a world record fee and he will never get to a top 2-3 player level. Factor in Chelsea s reluctance to sell and Hazard having 3 years left on his contract then you would be looking at an absolutely astronomical fee. I definitely wouldn't want to sell him but the money received for him would let us strengthen our squad massively and make us stronger overall i guess. Like Spurs did this year. Ho hum.

Thats fine mate. Its great that you feel the need to defend our club so much. But some of the stuff written on here... i mean people trying to hack his account and the like. Its just way over the top. As is sending him abuse, what does that make us look like ? Its only a game and its only opinions after all, people take things so seriously and personally these days when it comes to football. guess this wont be a popular thing to say....but bearing in mind the obsession some people have on here with Liverpool and their fans can they not see this thread makes them look just as bad if not worse ? .

I felt like that after S4 Davey. Wasnt really sure where they were going to go to be honest. But im glad they did, I think S5 is very watchable though i wasnt a fan of the break into 2 separate 'seasons' i thought it all ended up nice and closed with everything tied up. Also have to say my favorite BB episode ever came in S5 (Dead Freight, S05E05) as well. Am going to miss Breaking Bad this year

Nothing to do with us not making the knock out stages of the Champions League, as someone has said already we made more tv money than any other UK team last season. These results were to be expected - last season there was a one-off financial boost that came when BSkyB agreed to cancel its shares in a joint digital media venture with the club. That skewed the results more than anything and was the biggest reason for the profit, more so than the CL win. Ultimately what yesterday's results tell us is what we already know - we are doing ok but we need to move to a new stadium within a decade or face the prospect of being left behind a little.

It's great that he runs around a lot and can keep possesion well but that's no good if these traits don't come to anything and more often than not with Willian it doesn't. As I've said before my cats run around a lot and they have almost the same number of assists as he does. That said he had a good game yesterday and it's still his first season in a new country. An upgrade over Moses no doubt, but I'm still not convinced we really needed him.

Totally agree. Thought Eto'o was poor and offered very little. Yet again there was no physical presence at all and he rarely held the ball up successfully.The one negative performance for me , having said that he did get the winner so beggars can't be choosers!!!

He is an outstanding player and it would be churlish of us to suggest otherwise. Watched him yesterday and whilst he didn't score I thought his passing and movement was ludicrously good. The way he drops back and finds space is out of this world. Two things were going through my mind , firstly what he may do to us on Sunday and secondly just what a difference a player half as good as he is would make to us.

Cech was not signed as an understudy, he was rated as one of the best young goalkeepers in Europe and was already a full international. He came in as competition for Carlo and I recall we all thought they would be rotated but Jose decided that Cech was his no 1 early doors, before Carlos elbow injury which cleared up before the season started anyway.

Well, i was happy with that and would've taken it beforehand. Thought we looked very solid. A nice platform to build on i guess. Long way to go though, especially in the last 3rd of the field. Im in full agreement with Spiller regarding Willian. I just dont know what he does and he is beginning to frustrate me a little. Personally i think running around a lot and keeping possession is only worthwhile if something comes from it. Id have Schurrie every time. Was also disappointed in Hazard ( i get the impression Jose was too) and Torres was invisible. No fan of Carragher but i thought his comments on Torres after the game were bang on. Possibly our best midfield and defensive performance of the season though, thought Frank, JT and Cahill were superb. I fancy us to beat Liverpool on Sunday, in fact i might wager we could be top come the New Year. the issues are more surrounding the possible travel implications (and therefore h&s) rather than waterlogged pitch etc, there is expected to be scores of train cancellations later if the weather turns out as predicted

The players are told not to stop at the gates (for safety reasons) so I wouldn't rely on it.
