He is a quality striker on his day, but I fear that day may be behind him now. He's obviously struggling to recover from the Malaria, and that can take years apparently. He's already about 33 years old, and it's only downhill from there really. I think if Real came in with £15m we should take it and bring in someone like Lakuku or Andy Carroll, or a similar younger striker to replace him.

Well when he gets the odd game here and there for us he tries too hard to impress, if he had half a season of first team action at Fulham, he'd get experience playing in the PL and hopefully it would do his confidence some good, so that when he comes back he won't necessarily be trying so hard to impress and he can just carry on where he left of.

I'd really like us to sign Carroll from Newcastle, but I doubt we will. I think he'd be a good replacement for Drogba, with Sturridge supporting him from the wing, that would be an interesting forward line to see. I think it could do very well.

It's not "no matter what". It's a simple case of players like Essien, Malouda and Drogba being very disappointing week in week out, and players like McEachran and Sturridge being impressive. They deserve a chance at starting a few games in a row.

Very disappointed with that starting 11. He's not picking players on form, he's picking them on reputation, and that's not the way to do it. If players are playing well (Sturridge and McEachran) they deserve to start. And if players are playing badly (Essien, Anelka, Drogba, Kalou) they deserve to be dropped. I have tried to stick by Carlo best I can, but if we see the same old sh*t today with the same old players, then I'm going to have to really start questioning if he's the right person to lead the club on in the long term. Because over the next few years we need to be integrating those youngsters into the first 11, but if all he's going to do is keep playing the same players until they retire, then we're going to be in a lot of trouble and we're going to lose some quality youngsters to other teams who are willing to give them games.
