This appointment was always doomed to fail. Frank was inexperienced for the role. One years experience was never enough even thought he knew the club. What made the board and RA think it was going to succeed beggars belief. Frank’s didn’t have the tactical and management skills for the job. No idea how to play Havertz or even Werner. No experienced No2 to help him just mates.

I think we need to look at Frank. He didn't know what was his best defence formation last year and still doesn't now! The signing of Thiago will be a disaster akin to Blanc's time at Man Utd. He will look good in the CL matches but he will be ruthlessly exposed in the PL. It begs the question did everyone think that buying Thiago will be enough to cover the weak defence we have? Also do we have a defensive coach? if we don't we need one.. Kanta is a defensive midfielder so let's play him in the front of the defence. Yes, I am pessimistic. The squad isn't deep enough and I don't see the cheque book been flung open for 3-4 players. I would love to see Sandro sign but I don't think it will happen even if we meet whatever their asking price is as Juve will only up the price! I can't see Danny Rose joining from the spuds. A midfielder would be great, what about Adrien Rabiot and Javier Pastore? Anyone's thoughts on either? Its a shame the club don't give the youngsters a chance but as we all know the academy isn't about bringing youngsters through into the first team, its there to make money.
