  1. Possibly by Ramire's own admission its not been the best season for him , but in fairness I could say that about many of our players. The season is going to sh*t and 'he' seems to have robbed us of our team spirit which would usually help us out. I'm not saying its right to see players under performing , but the season is nearly a write off and I hold no grudge against any of our players.
  2. Have you got a link to where it says Lampard was the 'ring leader' and responsible to the tune of 20m cost to the club ?
  3. Great news for us , we've at least still got the best left back in the world for the next 18 months. I would imagine its going to work out to be a good deal for Ashley. He gets to stay where he wants and realistically his stock is not going to fall too much between the end of this season and next. So if he wants to go (if the club is still run like Smarts) he will go on a free , there will be no shortage of takers. It would be interesting to know if he or the club or both were happy with only one year. From Ashleys side , the last thing he probably wants is a transfer fee hanging over him if he signed a 2 year deal and it doesn't work out for what ever reason. I think from the clubs side , we've missed a trick , there's nothing to suggest that Ashley still won't be in great shape in 2 years time at which point he will still only be 34. Overall though its the best bit of news we've all had for some time.
  4. Its a crying shame it just hasn't worked out for us. From the elation and absolute joy of him scoring against West Ham (has there ever been a more celebrated goal?) the noise was sensational. Everyone was willing this guy luck or whatever to score get the monkey off his back and start doing the business. Its not the poor touches or poor finishing that has me pissed off , its the apparent lack of fight and effort that bothers me more than anything. I hate and detest any of our players being booed , even in this instance I can't justify it. Let me make it clear , he has been poor no doubt , but lets not forget plenty of our other players have gone missing this season and haven't been lambasted as much. It would probably suit all to just let him go sooner rather later. His so called relationship with him alongside his poor form has really put Torres in the bad books with the crowd and I fear there is no coming back from there.
  5. Or......... [yt]http://youtu.be/zg_lPJ8hHP0[/yt] Yeah , but it'd be great to see him going at some our lads like this , could you imagine the faces on some of them !!
  6. Give this geezer a shout. [yt]http://youtu.be/zg_lPJ8hHP0[/yt]
  7. Didn't know where to put this but seeing as Lampsy got the goals I put it here. Quite possibly my happiest Chelsea moment. [yt] [/yt]
  8. Thinking about particular bad times since I followed the mighty blues. Being relegated against 'Boro and subsequent terraces being closed. Losing to Wednesday in the league cup semi final. Watching Kanu and Winterburn score for the arse , getting pissed on with rain watching us get beat by Bristol City in the 3rd round , I could go on. But these are just results , part and parcel of the game you have to experience the lows to appreciate the highs. So results wise I take it with a pinch of salt , I piss and moan but I get over it because we will have our day again. The link between me and Chelsea is as strong as ever , but I am dis-satisfied with the running of the club.
  9. I've read all the posts on here and everyone makes great points regarding the situation. Tommy Doc , you know far more than me regarding Ossie and Dave Sexton I wasn't around at that time ! I suppose if I were to add a further point to this is the whole situation we are finding ourselves in. It's not really just one player for me , the club are stripping us of our indentity , or players and staff at a time that we all indentify with as being our most successful time. When you have personnel within any business that have brought you the most successful period of that business , then surely you hang onto your assets. Maybe those assets might have to adapt to new parameters within their roles , this is normal , some may accept these new roles , some may not. But as a forward thinking , self sustaining business (FFP) you must try and keep your best people. That is the business side , this club is not a business to me , but I understand the concept of loyalty to your finest and how that can be a strength to any business model. ilovechelseafc , I see no hysteria regarding him , there are some who don't want him here , some who don't mind him here , each to their own. Nothing in my mind has been blown out of proportion , simple facts. If the best interests of our club were foremost in the owner and boards minds then we would not have had 9 managers in 9 years , nor be about to let a gentleman leave the club when he still has the best of himself to give (IMO) in a different role. No in fact let's just keep hiring people who know better than the last bloke until he is fired and the wheel keeps turning. I've said it before , if I had sanctioned the hiring of so many staff that then were fired due to performance issues , I would have been told there's the door don't let it slap you on the arse on the way out.
  10. Welcome mate , good bunch on here so get stuck in !
  11. Having stewed and mulled this over for a few days here are a few thoughts. What are the chances of Frank making this choice to leave when offered reduced terms ? Well he has already said he wanted to end his career at Chelsea , and I would have thought when making such a comment he would know that to allow this to happen that he would have to take a pay cut (surely money is not a factor to Frank) and that his playing time would be restricted. Certainly if he was to be offered a 2 year deal then it would have to reflect his potential game time. However is Frank not worth more than just his ability on the field ? Steve Sidwell on Frank , “I knew Frank was a fantastic player but being that close to him for a year, I have to say he is the best professional I have worked with by an absolute mile. "The day I left I spoke to him and said: "It has been a pleasure to be with you this year" as I picked up a lot of stuff off him. I learnt a lot from him like his positional play—where he is around the pitch, his passing, his vision and his fitness. "He was great at timing his runs, which is the most important thing because if you time your run to perfection you have a golden opportunity to score. "Every day in training you got 110 per cent out of Frank which is impressive" Jose Mourinho on Frank , “Frank Lampard is a different kind of person, not so extroverted. He is the best professional I have ever worked with.†He added: “He’s the player that trains better, has more concentration, more commitment and is always focused on himself.†I'm not going to copy this but have a look . http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/4729444/Alan-Shearer-Chelsea-mad-to-let-Frank-Lampard-leave.html Whilst Frank is getting on in football terms , he offers so much more than just being out on the pitch. An example to all fellow pro's in how to conduct yourself , look after yourself , improve yourself. A shining example of loyalty , honour and fairplay. He talks about how the club has been great to him and how the fans are the club. He understands the playing side better than most and the fans side better than most. He is a true gem and possibly the like of I will never see again at my club. If the club have done nothing in an attempt to keep this gem at our club , it is again a shame on them. It makes me angry and embarrassed that such decisions can be made by these men sat behind desks in big suave offices looking at pictures on the walls of "their" triumphs and feel that they are correct. Why not do a quick search on Lampard and you will see with what high regard and esteem this man is STILL held in at the top level of football by those who have played the game and are involved in coaching the game. It is baffling and confusing that he is being let go. Frank is the type of man we want at the club to inspire our evolving team , inspire everyone from the tea lady to the kitman to the youth team. If that isn't worth doing all we can to keep him then we are f**ked.
  12. Pre season I would have taken 4th place and a good run in any of the domestic cups. My priorities have changed slightly where now I see a successful season as him being shown the door.
  13. This is just about perfect for me. Bearing in mind it was just about the perfect premier league team.
  14. A boozer at every corner , got to be Griffin Park.
  15. I'm writing this after just reading that Frank is going at the end of the season. So I'm asking myself is this what I'm getting myself worked up about ? At this stage it has gone further than that , the way we are treated , the disdain for the fans , the players , the managers. Since Robbie and Eddie got let go I've been more troubled than any other guys being let go and I've been trying to figure it out. Am I just too sentimental about it ? Have I become apathetic ? More's the pity it's the opposite , I care too much. I think the thing that is bothering me most now is given recent and previous events is , Roman , Bruce ,Ron , Michael and Eugene , what are your motives behind these decisions ? Because I for the life of me can't figure out how they are for the benefit of our club. Bad results are part and parcel of the game , we've all suffered before and will suffer again , but when I'm being slagged by other fans about the madness that has happened , I have no response . How can I , how can I defend this. I will finish this by saying my love and support for Chelsea has never been diminished , but I've lost all faith in the owner and board.
  16. Going to abstain from this one folks. Shocker all round.
  17. Well that didn't go exactly to plan tonight. An awful feel to the match from the outset , no urgency , no rhythm , no vibe. Poor from the players , as professionals for our club we expect more and better. I'm not a Torres defender but I've got to say I think criticism of him alone tonight is uncalled for. each and everyone of them has to accept their part in that debacle tonight. So it's taken this amount of time for some to see the 'tactical mastermind' at work. As a couch manager it's difficult for anyone to take me serious when it comes to tactics , but may I ask anyone who cares to answer me "why didn't we start with our strongest side possible then when things are going well , sub and rest players ?" Its bittersweet this defeat , well in truth its not I'm sick as a pig over it , but maybe those f**kwits upstairs might ask a few questions themselves of him and his decision making this evening.
  18. Just to have a bit of balance , Torres deserves no more no less slagging than any other player out there in my opinion. They were all terrible.
  19. Say hello to 2013 with our tactical genius. It's too early after the game to bombard you with my usual literary masterpiece's so I'll give it a few minutes.
  20. Tony Gale is a knob , gotta get that one out there first. 1st half analysis , too many players out there waiting for it to happen. No urgency whatsoever , come on lads big 2nd half.
  21. TBH I was more bothered when we used to lose Didier , Essien , Geremi and even Kalou. I think the impact should be minimal (famous last words)
  22. That's an amazing video , what a statement by 'arry he got it bang on. Give a muppet a beer and a microphone and look what happens ? You make an asshat of yourself !
  23. You just know its going to be a perfect day................
  24. the way they just didn't seem interested against the dippers in the first half when they went down was embarrassing to watch. If we a couple of early goals , there could be an absolute spanking on. And I will love it !
