I think what's crucial is that for the majority of our loans have a recall clause. For instance now could be the perfect time to give Christensen some minutes and to show him he's a crucial part of our plans but alas he's stuck in Germany for another year.

Whilst a distraction, if nothing else the EL could prove (if we get it) a really good place to try out new tactics and the youngsters. I know that Real's transfer policy rarely makes sense, but he's not good enough on current form to make their first eleven, let alone bench with Isco already as their backup AM. Balotelli was never that good imo bar that one game against Germany so I think thats an unfair comparison.

Whilst his concern's are completely valid, the only thing I will say is that barring Terry and possibly some staff members, how much knowledge of behind the scenes stuff does he have now (obviously more than me/the fans)? He left before having a chance to work with Courtois, Fabregas, Zouma etc so just remember everything here is him making an educated guess. Having said that I can't wait till him and Drogba come back in some capacity, maybe do a few one-on-one lessons with RLC to replicate that goal scoring threat from midfield.

I'd keep him for at least another year, think people have a very short memory regarding just how good he was until last January. He's an absolute beast of a DM when on song and not trying to dribble forward. He may not be as consistent as Mikel but his ceiling is far higher.

What's his style? Is he a poacher like Costa, target man like Drogba etc?

Don Bradman is still the best for me, having a batting average of 99 (I think) is beyond obscene, that would be like scoring a hat trick per match.

I personally think he's been relatively average this year and whilst he's good for his age, he's nowhere near De Gea and has tons of work to do to be considered a top keeper.

Also would like to give a shout out for that 5 minute or so passage of play towards the end of the first half where our passing was so crisp and accurate under extreme pressing from them I thought we were going to win comfortably.

Went for Rahman although thought Ivanovic and Cahill were also very good. Proved to us that he can play at the top level and looked very composed going forward and defending and should have had a hell of an assist. Think Courtois is getting too much praise, should have saved their second and aside from Di Maria's shot spilled a number of chances that could easily have been turned in if PSG had anyone following in.

The positive though would be if we played the youth more in that competition, gives them valuable game time and against European opposition.

I think his problem's mainly physical, its not just that he can't score but he can't even beat a man like he used to. Based on current form he wouldn't get anywhere near Madrid's first team so he's better off giving it his all here even if he does want out.
