The John Obi Mikel Goal Scoring Thread
I'd bench him for Matic to try and regain some form to impress Conte, his ceiling can be so so high if he can get his head sorted out.

Chelsea vs Man City (PL) Sat 16th April, 17:30 GMT
In regards to the RLC misses, youth players are going to make mistakes and you have to take the bad with the good at this stage of their development.

Good selection from Hiddink: Courtois, Azpi, Ivanovic, Cahill, Baba, Mikel, Fabregas, RLC, Willian, Pedro, Costa.

Drogba - this makes grim reading; Daily Mail
It depends ultimately on who is at fault here, is it him or those he has presumably entrusted to run the charity on his behalf? Is it government corruption? If it is a personal error on his part, was it done on purpose or by mistake? Maybe those he trusted have been lying to him, telling him the money has gone to good causes whilst embezzling it behind his back? The nagging thing of course is that I don't know if the Mail would make such an accusation without being completely sure of their proof but it wouldn't be the first time (or last) the media has exaggerated or fabricated a story. Worst. Season. Ever.

Drogba - this makes grim reading; Daily Mail
He's just issued a statement on twitter denying it and looks like he and the Foundation are beginning legal action against the Mail.

The John Terry Appreciation Thread
I need this just for the chance of seeing Drogba and Zola on the same pitch, whether their on the same team or against each other.

Following Our Nearest & Dearest Rivals, 2015/2016
I know football fans are fickle but I will go to my grave pissed off that we kept Oscar over De Bruyne and Mata. Edit: I really hope none of the team reads this site.

Antonio Conte - Now Officially Manager
Its football, if the Barca lot can get away with tax evasion, Gerrard and numerous others having drunken fights, I doubt he'll get done for this being rich and famous.

Sir Frank Lampard OBE
I realise this is somewhat of an echo chamber being a Chelsea forum, but I honestly would take him over any other CM of his generation, including Gerrard/Scholes/Xavi/Pirlo/Alonso/Fabregas etc. You won't find his obscene goal tally over more than a decade anywhere else whilst also boasting a brilliant passing range and the fitness to play what seemed like every game every season. Completely irreplaceable.

Antonio Conte - Now Officially Manager
Just been confirmed by the club's website.

If Leicester win the league
Claudio deserves a massive reception, love that man.

Doping Scandal
Thing is though how deliberate would this be? If a player is say recovering from an injury and the club medical staff gives them something to help speed up their recovery, I think the majority would take it no question, as if any of us were prescribed something from our day to day doctors. Also that account above seems highly speculative such as saying Arsenal had met Zlatan's price.

Diego "the guv'nor" Costa
f**k this soulless bullsh*t the FA is intent on pushing. Are there no ex-pros among them who realise tempers run high during highly competitive games? Virtually every single red card doled out sees the receiving team lose their minds and futilely protest but end of the day everyone shakes hands and goes away with everything left on the pitch. Costa does overstep the mark too much and has deserved punishment in the past but its just so needless to punish a player's passion. It happens at every level from professional to amateur and will never ever go away, so I don't see why it needs to be taken further when no-one was remotely harmed or heaven forbid offended!!! and was dealt with at the time.

The John Terry Appreciation Thread
Much as I would like to see him represent England again, screw Stones benefitting from his wisdom unless he's a Chelsea player...keep that for Zouma/Christensen and co.

Mark Noble testimonial
Zola did against Zaragoza if I recall correctly.

This 100%. Any fanbase which thinks their is a 'right way' to do things and that if you don't follow their narrow ideology then your achievements are negligible is completely delusional. Seeing Drogba and now Costa ruin their beautiful game is delicious schadenfreude, if Leicester can't win the league than I'd rather Spurs than Arsenal, just to see them come to terms with yet another of their rivals pass them by.

Gary Cahill - PL CL FAC LC EL champion
Zouma's already better, Happy's fast become one of my favourite players.

If he's lucky, I'd prefer Sturridge if fit...maybe as a no.10?

Following Our Nearest & Dearest Rivals, 2015/2016
Got to go with Kane/Vardy up front at the Euro's, no need to shoehorn Rooney in.

James Corden and Holly Willoughby......
Graham Norton >>> all others

Our New Stadium
Courtois seems to every game with his 'open wide' approach to one on ones.

Another ‘where did it all go wrong’ thread
IF our lot recaptured their best form, plus Hazard then they can be the best out of that lot.
-
Oscar - Little Diamond
I'd disagree with that, aside from his hit at Everton he looks tentative going forward and panics as soon as he has to use his right foot. All of his best games for us have been solely as a DM and his job is to shield the back 4 and give Fabregas space to conduct the attack.

Ideal 25 man squad for next season?
There's no way we're going to go with only 1 established striker prone to injury and discipline issues...I increasingly feel like Bamford will be passed over for Solanke/Abraham. Assuming we could remove his highest wage clause I'd still take Terry over Cahill and another RB over Cuadrado.
