Featured Replies

quite possibly the most uninspiring cup draw ever!

going to be a very strong q/f line up. last year very much a one off.

Watford v Chelsea

Sheff Utd v Hull

West Ham v Middlesbrough

Sunderland or Blackburn v Coventry

Derby or Nottm Forest v Man Utd

Swansea v Fulham

Liverpool or Everton v Doncaster or Aston Villa

Cardiff or Arsenal v West Brom or Burnley

Ties to be played over the weekend of the 14/15th Feb

Another interesting draw, another potential banana skin, and yet more connections with recent and not so recent history.

its amazing how often this happens in football, id have put good money on us getting watford. im still shocked we didnt get inter in europe.... anyone know where we stand with the lads on loan at watford? will they play or is it in their contracts they arent allowed to play against chelsea.

It's war in the geezer household with the missus being a devoted Watford fan. Got a text message from a guy at work who types up and edits the Watford programme notes guaranteeing me and the missus tickets in the Watford end however if the games on the Saturday we won't be able to make it. If it's on the Sunday it's game on with me sitting on my hands for the whole game.

Oops, getting my dates wrong, it would be the 6th round I would have a problem with so I guess that's me sitting in the Watford end after all plus free parking at the Mother-in-law's house.

In case anyone hadn't noticed this game is the 1730 kick off on the 14th. Absolute bloody nightmare for me as I have to pick up the good lady wife from work at 1700 and drive to Glasgow as we are out for a birthday/valentine dinner (yes she was born on Valentine's day meaning I get away with one meal!) and trying to wangle seeing the game is going to be about as possible as driving past three ladies without glimpsing in the wing mirror.

Come on Loz, put the foot down.

It's Chelsea, it's Watford and its the FA Cup 5th round FFS

Oh, bloody hell.

That's the same day as my nephews birthday. Hopefully I'll be home in time to catch the game. Though since it's a cup game with Chelsea I doubt it will be on anywhere.

lets hope the real love of our lives can give us something that puts us in the mood for some good loving with our partners later in the evening

can imagine the ladies wont be getting much if we lose

Next Saturday's game against Watford is going to be difficult one for Chelsea. Watford always give Chelsea a tough game and I expect it to be the same next weekend. Chelsea should be good enough to beat a Watford side that is fighting to stay in the Championship. Below is the team that I would play:

Cech, Bosingwa, Terry, Alex, A.Cole, Quaresma, Ballack, Lampard, Kalou, Drogba, Di Santo

Formation: 4-4-2

Bloody women, there's just no appeasing them sometimes. Two guaranteed tickets in the Watford end to keep her happy then:

"Oh it's a 5:30 kick off is it? No that'll be too late"

"What do you mean it'll be too late?".

"Well it's Valentines night, I don't want to be at a football match for Valentine's night"

"Well I'm not taking you to Tesco's for dinner again like last year!".

"No I want something more upmarket this year"

"Well how about a burger from the stall near the Watford ground?"

"" (no words needed, the look said it all)

"If you think I'm taking you to Morrisons for dinner you've no chance, that bloody Alan Hansen advertises for them"

"Stop being silly. Surprise me then"

"BOO"

"Be serious for once. Surprise me"

So - two tickets for the match it is then - that'll surprise her.

We all know who should be playing, but Big Phil will just pick whoever he wants , unless they are all broken. Therefore I expect to see maximum 3 changes from the Hull match, make it 4 if Cech is fit. It would be disgraceful if we get knocked out, but would I be shocked by it? Not at all, unfortunately.

Is it really a 5.30 kick-off? Does that mean we are going to be treated to the delights of an ITV match coverage? woo fuc king hoo!
