I think he could be a good signing for us. Still only 22 years of age and has a point to prove. The £20M figure is a long ways wide of the mark. I wouldn't expect to pay any more than half that for him.

5m maybe. Fits what we need, especially with Ivan wanting to play at centre back (although he is not as good as JT or Alex in that position just yet).

I like Richards and think a run in a good team could improve him, hes strong, quick and decent at both ends of the pitch and English, I'd be happy to have him here and just can't feel comfortable with Bosingwas defending since the injury, I think the end of this season will be telling on if he stays or if we do go in for someone like Micah.

He is pretty much what we are looking forward in a player as per his position, but his attitude has been very poor since getting his England call up. Maybe a move could re-start his career but no way would we pay that kind of money. Maybe worth the gamble at around £7-£9mill.

I expect the biggest obstacle would be wage related. It seems the only thing hindering Bridge, SWP and one or two others leaving Man City are wages, perhaps the ghost of Winston Bogarde is now haunting citeh.

I like richards good player and learning the trade off terry would improve his game no end, i personally would love to see him at the club but not for 20 mill 13 mill tops.

He's a great athlete but he's average with the ball at his feet.

Not my type of a player, and the rumored fee is just laughable.

A few years ago when he was england regular right back, man utd and chelsea were all after him and was being quoted in excess of £25m.

Last year I think there were rumours about spurs or Villa taking him for only £5m.

I would deffo take him. I think he is strong, quick and can play right back or centre. The only problem is rumours of his attitude? Rumours always floating about its bad and even at Man City he used to get all his mates coming in for free lunch and thinking he was the King there. No idea how much the journos blow up a story but apparently he is one to have a mood.

I wouldnt go more than £10m

hmmm. A young, talented player who is good enough to be called up to the England squad at a young age. A player we could use. Plays a Man City and is said to have a bad attitude. Who does that sound like? Besides the England call up....Daniel Sturridge. Maybe he has a bad attitude because he plays for Man. City. I would have a bad attitude about aht.

:beg:

Well obviously not for pushing £20 million, but anything around the £10 million mark would be a bargain.

There isn't another English player around his age who I can think has England and Premier League experience except maybe Cahill.

Attitude problems? I'd have a bad attitude if I sat on Citeh's bench week in week out and allowing my career to stall. He's kind of gone downhill since the England call up which hasn't been helped by Citeh bringing in every other player in the world.

Isn't the reason for him wanting to leave Citeh lack of regular first team football? I doubt that particular problem is going to get solved here. What he needs right now is to establish himself once again at a mid table prem team, quite like Diarra did, and then look for a move to a bigger club if he's good enough.

Good point. But I guess the major difference is City didnt have a say in Danny's price, because of the compensation thing being set by the FA. With a player whose rights they control, it might be a different story.

City selling to us, one of their rivals now that they are at the top of the tree, is just not gonna happen.

News of the World today mentioned City would be after around £15m for him. He has had enough of Mancini and I think they have had enough with him. They want £15m as they need to give 20% in sell on rights.

No links to Chelsea but thought i would post up values anyway. Cant see them selling to us anyway!

not sure about Richards, I was a fan a season or so ago, but the price tag is a no no if correct

I agree used to think he was good but dont think he has come on much. Attitude is a problem and actually think there are better players out there than him. The money is then the icing on the cake.......albeit probably not a true asking price for him.

The very few times I have seem him play, I have been impressed. Very strong and good going forward. He is an absolute beast in the air also. I would say we go after him especially if the rumors about Bossy leaving are true.
