I agree, you cant really argue with the majority of choices. Great for Cole, he really doesnt get the recognition he deserves at times.

I'd argue Casillas and Puyol and maybe Pique. Otherwise it's about right.

Agree, Ceasar was best gk in europe last year. & Lucio should win over Puyol. Otherwise its about right. Sneijder should have won player of year.

Cole makes it on merit but Drogba's exclusion is baffling indeed. The UEFA and Fifa are clearly giving a lot of weightage to Barcelona and their players performance but I am not too sure if that is the way to promote attacking football. Conspiracy theorists will obviously point out the lack of recognition for the premier league.

If Drogba played for Spain, he'd be in there. Tough that the best season he's ever had(and probably ever will) had to be in a world cup year.

Lucio and Cesar yes, but Robben has missed so many games last year to be nominated. World class player when he plays, but he went missing for long spells for Bayern on numerous occasions due to injury.

However the left back who should win the EPL team of the year this year is Jose Enrique, whenever I see him play he impresses.

Ash is definatly the best in the world, but his form has not been as good during this awful spell, and I can see that going against him in the votes.

I would be surprised if any of our players, accept maybe Cech, got in the team of the year. Even when we are vastly superior to the others, like last season, they find a way of not choosing our players.

Just saw this, good for Ash. However, of course the team is ridiculously biased towards Barca players as usual. Picking Puyol ahead of Lucio is silly I'd even argue Samuel should maybe get a gig as well. Xavi can f**k off too Schweinsteiger was immense last year, both for club and country. Robben is also a man who should be in there, he got them to the CL final by himself and had a big part in why the Dutch beat a much fancied Brazil side in the WC.

Ceasar, Maicon, Lucio, Pique, Cole, Schweinstieger, Robben, Sneijder, Villa, Messi, Ronaldo. 4-1-3-2. Not a lot of tracking back going on.

I don't think etoo had the best start to 2010 to be honest and that's why prob still go with villa but it does go from jan to dec.
