bobby tambling didn't play in any rounds of the cup..he only played a handful of games in that season after falling out of favour with dave sexton  he moved on to crystal palace..in the summer..

iconic the old bridge...had its drawbacks with the pitch been  so far away  but like many of the old grounds like the baseball ground  maine road etc...had lots of character...

Same here, I didn't go to either of the cup games but remember a hell of a lot of Bolton graffitti around the ground afterwards.

We never always filled the ground but to brag that they took it over when we could not be bothered turning up is laughable. i never recall them doing it when we had a full house.

Wonder if we'll see Roman on the pitch like this hehe

 

Some great football photos on this site (check out the Millwall goalkeeper), including this Chelsea one and I had that Peter Bonetti kit when I was a kid. If this is the Preston replay when the floodlights went out I was there, it's probably the re-arranged on played on a weekday afternoon.

Got a vague memory of some loser going up Fulham Road the night before a game, spraying graffiti all over the place, making it look like they'd brought a mob up. I thought it was Plymouth, but could just as easily have been Bolton. Total w*nker, whoever it was.
