A few lines that hadn't yet been axed by Beeching may have still existed. We got a train from Clapham junction to Manchester once, couldn't do that now ! No idea. I simply copied the photograph information. It was from Getty Images. They could well have put down the wrong information.

The line behind the Bridge is known as the west London loop. I went to Blackpool as a kid from Lewisham I the early 80s. It joins up with the main line at Olympia to go up north or west.

The plan was you worked the morning, but a lot of the lads took the morning off work and were totally ratted by lunchtime. Cause it was a free bar loads of blokes sold their tickets on to people who didn't work for the company- cut a long story it was just a big rolling punch up. Went to The National in Kilburn once- roughly a zillion.Guiness pumps and three lager taps- ordered some lager... geyser next to me ' how can you drink that piss' Back to the Hibernian, never associated Fulham with the Irish dispora, but only a couple of miles from Hammersmith which certainly did
April 7, 20233 yr The Galtymore, The Hibernian, The National, Nellies and The Gresham. There are probably a lot more I’ve forgotten.

I know it well pulled many an Irish girl in there went to the National many times although never to see any bands which I regret the likes of PIL, New Order, The Smiths and many more played there.

The queue to buy one went past the West Stand I was staring at a billboard of Parklife by Blur for so long I bought it a couple of days later. Me and my mate used to work together we took the day off rang another mate public call box in those days who left home took him half an hour the queue had gone he strolled up he paid for a ticket and met us in the pub four bloody hours we were in that queue !! Standing in the Shed the only trains that used to by were those really long trains that I think transported sand- think it might have been a Tarmac operation. Sometimes looking at the train was more interesting than the game

Day or night always thought there was the chance of getting mugged
