The exact same thought occurred to me. Doesn't look too happy though, does he? Maybe he was still pissed off at his father/uncle/brother/cousin/lookie-likey not getting that company car.

I tryed posting this on the headhunters topic but for some reason it would not let me do it.

There is post on there about Breda Lee who use work serving teas to the players and looking after there kits in the dressing room and who use to go to most of the aways .

I remember when Breda Lee son died at Preston away in the 80's,a few of his friends walk around Stamford Bridge taking a collection   for her.

 She was a really lovely lady and had time for everyone including Hickey and his crew to the little lad who first time it was at the Bridge.

In fact there were a few stewards who were like that in thems day everyone know everyone else especially at away games.

the mirror had a bigger picture at the time that i was in i was in the seats .millwall at luton was 1985 what happened here was leeds done the same thing a t derby's previous home match do you know who scored the goal that started the seat throwing kevin bloody wilson

I have just moved to Crystal Palace, and the Missus for Xmas brought me some vintage Chelsea programmes against Crystal Palace to use as decoration for the flat (I've got early seventies and a couple mid seventies).

 

We all the talk of Lampard's potential to beat Tambling's record I thought i'd add a few pics, he features a fair amount in the programmes as he played for Palace after us.

Chelsea doing a tactical retreat  , to be fair we ran the plod after Zaragoza scored, Chelsea ran across the seats in to plod & home fans in the corner ripping out seats in the process, plod then re-grouped & came back at us hitting out at everyone even those just sat there & not involved.

Got to love those programme scans. I used to have literally 100s of programmes, mostly from the 70s and 80s, but also a fair few from the late 60s given to me before I actually started going.
