If that team had been kept together.

Just the first row alone - Bridges, Graham, Venables, Houseman, Tambling, Hollins

1964?

Yes, 1964. Some fine players in the team. Graham left for Arsenal a left couple of years later in a swap for the leader of the team, Tommy Baldwin.

What a great photo Boyne. 👍

Thank you mate. The game was played on 4 October so not long after Chelsea's first game at the Bridge. It was the first time that the All Blacks had played outside of Australasia and played all four nations of what was then the British Isles; a number of club and regional teams and then France and a couple of games in North America. Played 35 matches and won 34 of them. Wales beat them.

The "Empress State" building in the background, and I think a portion of the Earls Court " venue to the right.

I really miss seeing the old floodlight pylons at stadiums, they look almost graceful in old images.

I remember Villa had the bulbs arranged in an "A" and "V" formation!

They were very helpful years ago when driving to away games with just an A to Z!!

When you arrived in a location looking for the floodlights was the first thing you did!

There was an article about this some years back that one company didn’t pay out for around 8 or 9 years! Absolutely criminal

Oh right! That’s absolutely disgraceful!!😡
