We had a black and white TV in those days and I remember being amazed at how green the pitch was when I got to the top of the stairs at the Bovril entrance.

Brings back some good memories and should remind non Chelsea fans A. Just how many we used to take away. B. We were a second division side and took more away than any other club and that includes Liverpool and Man United. They used to play in front of 45-50,000 every week we used to play in front of anything from 15-25,000 so we would take a third and sometimes half our home gate to away games.
