I'll ask them if they've heard of the North Stand being called the dolls house. Was in the pub last night and spoke to a fellow Chelsea fan who started going to the Bridge in the sixties and for many years stood in the old North Stand and asked him about it being called the dolls house. He had never heard the term.

Well I went to my first game in 74 so I'm trying to remember when any work was done to the shed after that.. 79 when they put up the corrugated iron and not sure when the fence by the West Side came in mid 80's I think. The benches were turned into concrete slabs after Sunderland 85 so maybe they did a bit of work then. That billboard thing I have no recollection of that at all and might have been put there by the builders. One way of dating some photos but you can't do it with this as it's not clear is the prefix for London phone numbers it used to be 01 and went to 071 in 1990.

Played 20 first team games for us. I had to check up too to be honest. Sadly he passed away a few years ago. I saw that 1967 team picture with the names at the bottom of it. When I was looking for something else. Edited August 28, 20205 yr by erskblue
