Any game recommendation?

Fallout 3 is widely regarded as one of the best games of the last ten years... How much it diverted away from the first two games shouldn't detract from the fact that it was a brilliant game.

Except it wasn't. Bethesda ripped out about everything that made Fallout Fallout. They did not care about creating a logical and consequential world. They only kept some trademark phrases like vault, pipboy, g.e.c.k., enclave... and what they deemed 'cool'. There were bigger holes in the plotline than Jimmy's arse :-) Basically it's not a Fallout game.

Well, as someone who has only played 3 and NV, I can't really comment really. But the bottom line here (for me) is that I enjoyed F3. It got me into RPG games even more so than Oblivion did.

It was a pleasant distraction from every day BS. Isn't that what gaming is meant for?

Ahhh Infamous second son. That does look amazing. Although I am going to have to wait a few weeks to pick up a copy. Got boring stuff like bedding, curtains and a rug to splash out on :-/

Let me know how it it is, assuming you get it D.O.R.

Seems to be getting high 7's and 8's mainly. Gorgeous visuals and fun gameplay, but hampered by being a bit "conformist" .

But Wired gives it 9/10!

I'm definitely going to get it .

It's sitting at 8/10 on Metacritic at the moment which sounds about right for this sort of game.

Playing around with the super powers and diving bombing off of tall buildings in the previous games has always been a lot of fun and I'm sure it's going to entertain me.

It's not groundbreaking but it sounds like fun which is all that matters.

All I have to do now is figure out how I am going to juggle playing this and Dark Souls.

Yeah it's definitely about the fun factor. Only thing is, I feel like I might have "seen it all before" with Prototype, and Prototype 2...

I've never played the prototype games only the previous inFamous games... Based on that once you level up a bit and unlock some of the higher end powers you can have a lot of fun just messing around with those.

The graphics look stunning on this one and let's face it, there isn't much else to play on the new consoles yet!

I was just about to mention the Prototype games. So much fun I had on those, throwing people about. The ragdoll effect was infinite fun after a few beers.

Only other game with similar powers was the awful Saints Row 4. Saints Row 1 and 2 were great, but the final 2 were ridiculous.

Defo gonna get Infamous, so tempted to just say sod it and go buy it tommorow, but must prioritise. I hate being a responsible adult at times. Kinda miss being a kid and being able to spend money like there's no tomorrow.

Yeah I played Saints Row 2. Excellent game. The Third was awful. Prototype was a lot of fun, gliding, and blowing sh*t up with powers. The tendrils! Devastator effects were sick.

But I'm hoping Infamous Second Son offers more....its meant to be graphically superior and quite challenging.

If you hated Saints Row 3, you'll absolutely detest 4 like I did! Dont even waste your time even Youtubing it. For the first time ever (never seen this happen before to be honest) the graphics of Saints Row 4 actually looked worse than the previous game. Then they added some silly alien plot and made the Saints leader president of the country. Utterly ridiculous. I played half hour of it, felt like I was regressing mentally, so made a call to a buddy who wanted to buy it and cut him a cheap deal for it. Wound up losing a tenner on it. But still more than what i would have got selling it to CEX.

Yeah, I have been following the release trailers, promo videos from the devs etc since its released date was announced. You tried playing Thief? That game is incredible if you have the patience for it.

I was really really really looking forward to playing Thief, since I adored Dishonoured. But it hasn't been well-received, has it? The reviews I've read say it's linear, has poor level design and a poor story. But is it worth a look? I love Stealth games.

I never listen to critics. Most of them are pretentious k**bends anyways. As for the game, its not without its faults. My main critique is there are too many transition points in the map (which is pretty small compared to the likes of Fallout and Skyrim) and some are too well hidden. I was hoping that since its its a next gen title, it would have the memory to handle bigger maps with less loading periods.

Besides that gripe, the game is quality. Graphics are smooth, the story is good and the mechanics are pretty good for a stealth game. Pretty intense too. Its designed for stealth not combat, right up my street. Well worth a look if you're into stealthy games like I am.

Dishonoured is great too. Spent ages on that game.

I find myself getting bored of games so quickly nowadays. If i was 16 again I'm sure I'd love games like Dishounrerd, Skyrim, Far Cry, etc... but I play them for about 30 mins nowadays and then just can't be arsed any more.

I feel like this at times, but I put it down to game burnout. When I was unemployed for a few months, no game could hold me. Now that I have a full time job, I find them so much more entertaining.

I think a lot of it is mental. I find myself enjoying a game more after a long busy day than after a quiet one (not that I know what one of those is these days).

I've been finding myself enjoying a couple hours of FIFA after everybody has gone to bed lately. Only quiet time I get in my man cave haha. Besides, there's not much else to play at the minute as I recently had to flog off a majority of my collection to cover bills.

Still got some games I got for CHristmas 2 years ago that I haven't even taken out of the wrapping.

I did take Dark Souls out of the wrapping, but it doesn't work on my PC for some reason, which is a shame, it seems to be popular.

What Infamous Second Son like? Worth it?

Best graphics of the new gen games so far.

A lot of fun as well, I've not put in a huge amount of time with it because I'm finishing up Dark Souls 2 but I've had a lot of enjoyment from playing with it.

It's not going to win any awards for originality with regards to the story and stuff like that but the game play itself is superb.

Human Caterpillar.

You meet some f**king weirdo's on MMO's. I believe that was in the BETA though.

Been playing it for most of the day personally. Fantastic game.
