😅

I swear that’s the truth! Screen went all black and I could just about make out the main menu screen but nada. Tried unplugging everything and doing the whole IT Crowd “turn it off and on again” but she ded.

Fifa's probably the most enjoyable its been for a few years. Can't just spam skill moves and relies more on passing and movement. No doubt they'll patch it and send it to sh*t soon enough though.

Yeah I'm really enjoying it. My only minor issue with it is they still haven't been able to find the balance between the AI being bad, and being prime Barcelona. I want to play teams like Everton away and have it feel like a gritty game rather than them score a goal from a 24 pass move and my players not be able to get near them. I play Career Mode on Legendary and sometimes switch to ultimate, and I play with custom sliders, but it is just not consistent enough.

I’ve had a “game break” from Back 4 Blood because I can’t get past one level near the end, it’s impossible. Honestly. I’ve tried SO many times to beat it but keep dying. Grrrrr…

Anyone else ever failed at a game?

Police Quest 2. Couldn’t get passed the load screen. Back in the days when you had ‘code wheels’ to unlock games to stop piracy which the failed to include but pre-decent internet so nobody had uploaded one yet.

Driver....even doing the first tutorial level was damn near impossible...

Breaking news: i have finally completed Back 4 Blood after so long!

I played a bit in Beta, but havne't touched it since it actually released. It just doesn't grab my interest like L4D did. Is it any better now?

I enjoyed it - something mindlessly satisfying about shooting loads of zombies. Definitely challenging

Been watching some upcoming games on the PS5. Gotta say, there’s not a lot that I’m excited for. PS5 games feel abit boring at the minute. All very samey.

Patiently waiting for quite a few games to come out:

-God of War Ragnarok

-Sonic Frontiers

-Pokemon Scarlet/Violet

-Hogwarts Legacy

Until then I'm also not really playing anything. Trying to get into Cyberpunk but it's just not grabbing me at all. Glad I paid peanuts for it. Time to start a new save on Shadow of War and brawl with some orcs instead...

Doesn’t feel like anything major does it

This has triggered a Vietnam style PTSD flashback for me!

It was so ridiculously hard, young gamers now have no idea how it was with games like this when there was very little hand holding. I watched someone play that new Horizon game a few weeks ago, the puzzles were ridiculous, they basically arent puzzles, you cant fail they are just simple little game parts where they show you everything to do.

Compare that to stuff like the original Ninja Gaiden, Ghosts n Goblins, Contra, X-com....

God I remember playing The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening on my Game Boy Colour back in the late 1990s. Got stuck on a dungeon called Eagle's Tower, which had multiple floors and a central pillar which needed knocking down. Fiendishly difficult puzzles. Was stuck for almost a year I tell you. Before the internet existed, game guides, walkthroughs etc.

At least nowadays when I get stuck I can just watch a Youtube clip and bang, problem solved!

Another level I struggled with was in GTA San Andreas. Where you had to follow the train on a dirtbike and kill the guys stood on top of it.

I played the re-mastered version last year and they had made it much simpler to complete!

Hahaha yeah i remember that mission! Failed it over and over again on the original version.  "All you had to do was follow the damn train CJ!"

Oh and the other one actually where you have to use the remote control plane to blow up aload of vans and bikes around the city. I never actually completed that mission on the PS2 version, I was that stuck with it.

Again on the re-masters last year they made it alot easier.

Ha - yeah I remember that as well. Was a killer.

I still think Residential Evil games are hardest. They frustrate the life out of me!

L4D was such an addictive game. I remember finishing school and rushing home to play it. Outside of the usual COD and FIFA releases every year i just don't seem to get into games anymore these days like i used to.

Started playing the campaign on MWII 2022 last night with early access.

Not played a COD campaign since the original MWII, but actually enjoying it thus far. The graphics on the cut scenes are probably some of the best I've seen and the actual gameplay looks great too.

I think I'm about one level from the end, it's really good. If you have Modern Warfare 2019 I would defo recommend playing the campaign on that as well. That one is probably my favourite one.
