Elden Ring is the first of that game type I've played, and it's bloody difficult. Depends how much of a challenge you like, and if you can see yourself spending hours and hours re-doing the same fights again and again until you win.

Elden Ring is good but really difficult when you start. You do get the hang of it more as you play but I still find it quite hard. The graphics are amazing though.

I'm hoping I would get the hang of it eventually after learning the enemy patterns of attack and stuff. I love free roam games where you have a massive world to explore (like Witcher 3, Skyrim etc) so I'm thinking this game must be for me.

As long as it doesn't take hours and hours?! Sounds like a lot of very hard work.

Read a few things about Starfield. Is it basically No Man’s Sky?

I watched the gameplay videos from the Summer of Gaming presentation the other day and yes, looks like it. Everything from the procedurally generated planets to the way you mine for minerals. Looks identical. Graphics don't look any good either.

Bought Elden Ring yesterday. Only played about an hour and a half. I'm an Astrologer build.

For the love of god, what do i do? Not having a mini-map or markers anywhere is quite daunting (though very immersive) and I have done a couple of bits (got my horse, used some of my runes to upgrade some of my stats) but that's about it. I just don't know where to go next.

Never played it but it’s got rave reviews.

Started the first Horizon game, really enjoying it so far!

Ah you’re in for a treat. One of my favourite games ever

I’ve had a game break from Horizon Forbidden West. Found it too similar to the first one. It’s not a bad game though. I’ll go back to it.

As and when I get PS Plus essentials, I’m looking forward to re-playing Death Stranding. Really interesting game. Not to everyone’s taste but I liked the slow pace of it.

I've just upgraded to 'Ps Plus Extra'. Loads of games on there that I want to try such as Returnal, Guardians of the Galaxy, Death Stranding as well as one or two sports games. There is also a load of stuff on there that I wouldn't normally play but I am going to give them a go because they are essentially free!

Elden Ring is boring me to tears. The world is empty AF and the difficulty is just not what i'm looking for in a game. I'm glad I didn't pay any money for it.

I can see myself trading it in for Saints Row in August.

Why wait until august when there’s a perfectly good cat based game out in a few weeks!

2 good remakes released this week. Point and click bladerunner is a brilliant game, and for anyone that likes isometric rpg's the shadow run series.

I’ve almost finished Sniper Elite 5. A couple of levels left. Must say, it’s been quite refreshing to play a non-open world game. While you can move the around the level and it’s open, it’s level based.

I think that’s the future. Open world games have lost their mojo and developers have focused too much on maps being “big”. In reality, they’re too big, repetitive and boring.

I enjoyed sniper 5 eventually,  the first level does it no favours as its clumsy and clunky. But then it clicks and its a great game.

Yeah 100%. Really struggled with the first level and couldn’t get into it. But I’m at level 6 now and fully into it.

Did you buy the DLC?

Finished Sniper Elite 5, was a good blast. Solid game up there with the rest of the series.

I’ve just upgraded my PS Plus to Extra. Looking forward to checking out all of the games. So much choice. I think I might focus on playing some sports/Arcade/indie games - games I wouldn’t normally pay for. I’ve started with Lawn Mowing Simulator and Trial Rising.

Lawn Mowing Simulator proper gets into your OCD when you miss abit!
