Anyone else get a code for the FIFA23 beta or am I a special boy?

They say it's a dated open-world game...bad shooting...lacklustre characters. But I've seen others say the shooting is really good and the world is great. 

That sounds a bit cyberpunk! Oh well, let’s see how it is!

The character customisation was good, but it didn’t seem to save characters that well on that app thing a few months ago, so hoping they’ve sorted that.

I never trust reviewers. 

Having played the first hour or so I’m having fun. I’m enjoying not being in Stilwater/Steelport for once. Santa Ileso is big, loving the Las Vegas vibes.

 

I think it’s really good! One of the best games released for some years.

Seems to be a lot like GTA than any other saints row has been, with elements of Far Cry thrown in. Are you getting that @Blueblur?

Shame there isn’t a major multiplayer and only a co-op, but I so far don’t see what any negative reviews are about.

Only a few little bugs that will be easy to iron out on updates.

Yes i thought it felt very Far Cry/GTA too! I've not encountered any bugs yet, but as you said they can be ironed out with updates easily. 

I can't get enough of chucking a grenade down someone's trousers and then throwing them bodily across the room! And the takedowns are cool too. 

You boys are making me want to buy it despite being skint and having no time for gaming. 

3 payments of £16 odd through Klarna at Shopto, Munkynuts, it feels a bit lighter than throwing near £50 at a game off the bat!

Started playing Control on PS5. No idea what’s going on but it seems like a solid game. Anyone played it?

FIFA23 Beta Review: If you’ve got FIFA22 it’s the same with a few cosmetics added. The sad little scene where you escort a player out of the club can be enjoyable if it’s a player who’s a knobhead but it wears thin quickly. 
 

One thing they have got right though is that I couldn’t score to save my life with Werner. 

Been on Saints Row for a week now, loving it! Discovered the Red Faction reference yesterday and made me wish for a new one of those games.

I've been a big Saints Row fan since SR2 (probably my favourite). But I'm having loads of fun with the new one! Not sure why it had such a negative reception...

Same as every Fifa then, same old game with cosmetic upgrades and players transfered.

I'll still end up buying it and complain a week in.

The original Saints Row on 360 was my favourite game ever, seemed to get too far fetched with the later ones. Might give the new one a try.

Got an oculus quest 2 the other day, pretty impressive piece of kit, actually enjoying things like the travel apps etc as much as the games.

Playing the ps5 spider man game, completed Miles Morales a while ago but never played the first one. Brilliant games.

Was thinking of getting a Switch for the new Pokemon game, anyone played it or is this just going to be £300 wasted?

Two quality games. Really like the fact you play as an already established Spider-man rather than it being another origin story. Spider-man 2 comes out next year (I think), hopefully it lives up to the hype.

Think Spider-man 2 you get both Miles and Peter in the same game too which should be fun. Just done some googling, looks like Venom and Kraven as the confirmed villians with more likely in there too.
