SSN say that the gonners are about to bid 8m for Malouda (as well as the 10m for Alex) .. How many of ours do they want !!

No quotes to suggest its a reliable source but we sign Mata due to our strength in that area, why sell our only other winger unless the club have someone younger lined up.

No. He would be an awesome success for them. As would Alex, and as would Benayoun. Three players tailor made to provide Arsenal quality experience in weak positions.

I wouldnt take that deal. IMO Alex is at least worth 10-15 on his own. I would probably rate Malouda at 7-8 and Benayoun at 4-5. The fact that this is Arsenal means we shouldnt get lowballed for any of them, IMO.

If we are going to lose players, make it one of Malouda or Benny, but not both. Benayoun played outside for the dippers, and Im sure he could do a job for us there too, if it realy came down to it.

We'd get money for exchange. It is not like we give those players for free. At the moment Malouda, Yossi and to some extent Alex are subs for us. Many here would be cheering if we'd let Flo go. If they don't buy from us they will buy from someone else. How many times our old player have come back to haunt us. Guddy scored for Barca in CL..Selling Joey to Scum was one of the smartest things we've done in years.

Alex Malouda and Benayoun leaving would give Lukaku, Sturridge, McEachran and Kalas more of a chance to appear in the first team. If we rejected 22m this summer how much would they go for next summer?

Use to 22m for another winger with more experience then Sturrdige? or not invest and actually bite the bullet and trust the young talent with have within our squad.

I was wondering the same thing. I was sad to see Eidur go, but his career as a top level footballer went off a cliff after he left Chelsea. Still, dont blame him for wanting to try his hand there and he got a few years in the Spanish sun.
