Thought a lot of our players had good spells without really putting in a MOTM performance.

I've voted Bosingwa. I know he sometimesgoes AWOL and he's not my preffered right back but second half especially he did some really good stuff, both attacking and defending.

Can't see Kalou picking up too many votes though.................

Cech made some brilliant saves, as did their keeper, Bosingwa was also very good.

I'm a AVB fan, but his subs were awful. None of the players that came off were playing badly. Malouda kept on losing the ball & he brought on the king of losing the ball Kalou. Ref didn't help us either.

Disappointed in he end, but would have taken a draw before.

I was tempted to vote Petr Cech but went for David Luiz, who I think put in the best defensive performance I've seen from him so far in a Chelsea shirt.

Have to agree on that - IMO all three subs failed to improve us.

Malouda was having a decent game up until about 75 minutes when he went back to his bad old ways of just giving the ball away and once in particular, we were lucky it didn't cost us a goal. So I see Kalou warming up and think AVB has obviously seen what I've seen and he's gonna hook Malouda before he gives the ball away again. OH............................!!

Good call.

Im normally the biiggest critic of Bos but tonight I couldn't fault him. Well played that man.

Luiz - he gave me confidence that he can be a great defender and not just a great counter attacker.

Big nod to Cech of course. Interesting how nobody has voted for any forwar players.

Agree with that Nibs. I'm voting for Cech though. He was excellent. Cost another clean sheet by a teammate's error.

Lampard's second half ran him close though, he arguably should have had a couple of assists to go with his goal.

Lampard for me, with a nod and respect to Big Pete.

Super Frank's effort was inspiring - work rate, solid defensively, ball control and distribution, he seemed possessed and I'm sure that goal felt incredible, given the influx of quality mids looking to replace him (also plenty of fans).

NMOTM - Salomon Kalou

Edited by ThunderDan

Went for Kalou, I know he didn't have long on the field and he made a mistake, but other than that his touch was very good, he showed some invention and wasn't afraid to take players on, which is something we were lacking up till then. Nearly set up Anelka for a winner as well.

Please tell me you are NOT being serious?!!!

Big Pete for me but also thought Ash had another stormer...great energy levels too....

my order

1--Pete

2--Ash

3--Lamps

4--Torres

5--Bosman

6--Luiz

I agree. I was bemused when sub after sub came on and Malouda stayed.

Not only was he ineffective going forward, he was lackadaisical about helping Bosingwa. And Bosingwa was getting tortured after Chelsea scored.

So for me the two worst players were Malouda and Bosingwa.

I thought Lampard had an outstanding match, could have had two more goals off of his passes.

Really didn't understand the Kalou for Lampard substitution, Frank had worked his socks off so yeah maybe needed a rest but surely Drogba would have made more sense as someone who could of helped out by holding the ball up and helped with defensive duties at corners!!

Have to say the AVB subs so far have not been brilliant, hopefully not a chink in his armour!

Cech got my vote by the way, with Ash and Frank following close behind!
