One more knock and he will be taking to the field with a full on bubble wrap helmet covering every inch of his head.

Poor guy. I love him and he is a warrior. He could be forgiven for being more squeamish when he takes a knock out there but he stuck right in.

I hope if it ever comes to pass that he cant risk going out there again that the club offer him a coaching role and keep him here.

Its obviously a bit early as I feel he has a few years left yet, but how do we thing Cech will be remembered as a Chelsea player. For me he's the best keeper I've seen at the club in my era, by some distance. I wonder if he will be remembered as a legend alongside Bonetti.

In my game of FM12, Cech was sidelined recently for arthritis

Just saying.

PS - That man is a god among mortals. A true champion. Sadly, he plays for us, so the media will probably overlook it. After all, Terry is a racist f**k, innit?

When I first saw him go down, I was worried sick it might be a concussion. Thank goodness it was "only" a broken nose.

Still, I tried breathing only through my mouth for a few minutes, like Cech, as I watched the rest of the match. Not easy to do.

Still the best in the world IMO, he makes games seem effortless most of the time. Its not offten you will see him drop a cross or drop one in to his near post (pepe) he had a wobble in 2008 but other then that he's been imence

I know the word legend gets thrown around way too much but would he be a candidate for the honour? He has been at the core of all our recent sucess and put his body on the line for Chelsea many times even after sustaining horrible injuries.

I think he still needs a few more years here and playing great during that time to become a real legend. But he is a big part of Chelsea history.
