May 15, 201214 yr Never normally propose team selections but I have thought about this for too long now: Cech Bos Luiz Cahill Cole Lampard Mikel Torres Mata Kalou Drogba I think this gets the most out of the players available, I think it pretty much picks itself. In a 4-2-3-1 the only positions that are debateable in my opinion are the wide support roles either side of Mata, and maybe right back. I truly think Torres can do a job on the right. Some of his best play this season has come from out wide. He can cross, he can break with pace (a la Ramires) and is surprisingly good at tracking back and pressing. Kalou can be frustrating but his contribution has been decent in this formation and has done enough for to me warrant his inclusion. An immense performance will be needed from everyone but Frank will need to put in a performance much like Napoli at home where I have never seen him cover so much ground and press so well. Drogba will need to be a pest all night like we know he can. I have a feeling this will be one of those games he might just fancy. Believe.....
May 15, 201214 yr This is off topic but you do know that your avatar isn't actually Eva, right? Many people seem to think it's her but I have no idea why I didn't know thats who it was supposed to be. Who is it then out of curiosity?
May 15, 201214 yr I didn't know thats who it was supposed to be. Who is it then out of curiosity? Her name is Eliska Kovarova. Many people confuse her with Eva Carnerio. If you do a Google image search of Eva Carnerio, you also get results for Eliska.

May 15, 201214 yr How can we not win it after all we've been through!! If life was fair we would have won in 1999. What the hell have you been through that we haven't ? Don't make me laugh. This is our year, we've suffered more than enough. Edited May 15, 201214 yr by zippy

May 15, 201214 yr You're wearing out your welcome Don't worry mate if all you want is arse lickers and bum kissers I'll happily go. I thought you were above that. If I'm here I'll speak my mind, if you don't like that just let me know. Pathetic being as I've been giving your fans advice for two weeks, (most of whom have made me welcome I hasten to add). Zippy, I still suffer from Kennet Anderson's goal in the fifth or sixth extra Sir Alex Ferguson minute of extra time that killed Schalke's chance of getting their first Bundesliga title. For that, and that alone, I hold a big grudge against Bayern. And thanks for the advice, and ignore people on this web site with thin skins (do I have one as well?). May 15, 201214 yr Saw this today: The writing is on the wall. Edit: With the exception of Liverpool being 7th, of course. OUCH ! When Liverpool won the champions league in 2005 here were the coincidences relating to the year 1981: Prince Charles got married Liverpool crowned European Champions Australia lost the ashes in cricket Pope died Ken and Deirdre got married on Coronation Street. Copy that onto the year 2005 and you cant help but feel, fate is fate, and if its written, well, its written ! Edited May 15, 201214 yr by Kharhaz

For that, and that alone, I hold a big grudge against Bayern. And thanks for the advice, and ignore people on this web site with thin skins (do I have one as well?). There were six second half substitutions = 3 minutes injury time, schalke protested for over 120 seconds after the back pass was picked up by the keeper ie 5 minutes and no complaints . Patrik Anderssons goal was valid, I understand S04 fans sadness but the extra time was fully in order. Your grudge is based in bias and not in reality. Edited May 15, 201214 yr by zippy
May 15, 201214 yr OK, but never having won the league title and losing out in the last minute of injury time makes one have loads of bad feelings. With the Bayern loss to ManU, I recall those two goals being good goals without any controversy, whereby we (Chelsea) were shafted every way you could think of by the referee in that Barca match. Just like S04, Bayern lost at the very end, and had no reason to gripe other than ManU scoring two good goals at the death. Edited May 15, 201214 yr by Phillip

That's football. A thin dividing line between joy and despair. Edit: I well remember both those days. In 1999 I was actually getting ready to go out celebrating, it still hurts to this day ! In 2001 I was in despair when HSV scored and went into the bedroom and heard Anderson score, the elation was indescribable ! Edited May 15, 201214 yr by zippy
May 15, 201214 yr In some ways, if Chelsea loses, I would rather we get our butts kicked, since I hate to lose those close ones. It is painful to lose when it is so close, as at the Luznicki stadium and JT's slip in the PKs.

May 15, 201214 yr Zippy, what is your best guess at Schweinsteiger's likely level of play for Saturday given him coming back from a fairly serious injury? 70%? 80%? Something else?
