Where do you travel from?

Featured Replies

Just seen the dates for our first Premier League games and I can't help getting excited and it got me thinking, where do people travel from to get to Stamford Bridge?

I get the train from Plymouth and usually the late one back on the same day. Get the sleeper train back on Champions League games.

Aylesbury, Bucks to London. Its about one hour North West of London and gets into Marylebone Station. We can normally still get a few beers in after a evening game before we head home which is always a plus!

Early morning flight from Rimini or Bologna to Stansted airport, stansted express to liverpool st, central-piccadilly-district line, attend the game, go back to the west end for a few pints with parents and mates, central line to liverpool st, stansted express, a couple hours of sleep on the floor and late night flight back. If it's a CL game, shower+shave and a marvellous day in the office :face_palm:

Used to be a local, but it is now South Bristol, which is a bit of a treck for me especially how travel costs are lately ! Anyone doing further than that on a regular basis has my respect

Westcliff on sea....Trains, westcliff to london then whatever way the trains actually run....Car to chelsea harbour..walk...Drink in imperial or fox...Get crap traffic to a13 and straight through to home

If it's a Saturday 3pm it's the 8.47am train from Malvern in deepest darkest Worcestershire into Paddington (There's a pretty good number of us that meet on the train. Varies from at least 5 and sometimes upto 15 of us) Several beers later (Usually in The Lillie Langtry, The Goose or wherever my legs take me) and it's off to the game before heading back to Paddington to catch the 6.20pm back home, usually arriving home just after 9pm. It's a long old day but win, lose or draw I always have a great time.

Billericay these days, train to Liverpool st, tube whatever way its running, into the Pelican for a couple before kick off and into wherever takes my eye after the game then train it home for about 1 in the morning!

Leamington Spa, Warwickshire. Easy journey on the Chiltern Line (i commute to London on a daily basis for work so am very used to it)

RDM lives about half a mile from me too (not managed to sneak a lift yet...)

Maidenhead, Berks these days.

30 odd minutes to Paddington which is on the District line so another 10 minutes from there down to Fulham Broadway.

Or straight down the M4 if I drive (which happens about once a season), much quicker on the return journey though, 30 mins door to door is my record...

I was at Warwick Uni mate. Just about to graduate lived in Leamington for 2 years!

Interestingly a fellow student of mine who I knew lived in the same building as RDM's family! She saw him there every once in a while I think too. Sadly I didn't see much of her otherwise I'd have gone there and given the man a massive hug.

If im at my house its a Train from Cheltenham Spa to London Paddington then hop onto the tube across to FB but I tend to avoid the train as it is so over priced. Sometimes get the Megabus which is only £20 return and goes from Cheltenham to Victoria. Rarely drive as I love a pint or 5 at the Imperial pre match.

If im lucky enough to be at the GF's house overnight then its a cheeky 25 min tube from Chiswick Park to Earls Court then change to FB...

I see RDM all the time, mainly due to the proximity of our houses - you can certainly hear when he is back you can hear his Ferrari a long way away!

Apparantley he loves Leam, he met his missus at Warwick Uni when he was doing his coaching badge and she was training to be a nurse, he is very settled and his kids go to school locally. He has recently moved into a massive renovated building (which he bought half of!) and

- the night after Munich I wanted to I down there and plant my Chelsea flag outside but was quite rightly stopped by the missus, as it would've been borderline stalking!

Walk to South Merton = 5 mins

Train to Wimbledon = 5 mins

Wimbledon to FB = 15 mins

Either that or 163/164 to Wimbledon and then just train which is 15 mins.

Done in 25 mins easy :)

Romford/Rainham in sunny south Essex,to Fenchurch Street,Tower Hill & the District line all the way,(if you're lucky).

Its a bit like the south of France really, but the ladies have more tattoo's.

Stamford bridge is just 1.5 METERS away from my bed. I usually take the computer chair and open a stream and BAM stamford bridge appears. Never went to a Chelsea game and chances to watch a game live are low because im poor :P
