Drogba to...

Featured Replies

No it's not.

A commentator said imagine Drogba going to Liverpool during the game today...that's it.

Whats the situation with his club right now ?

Some are reporting they cannot afford his wages so he's been released.

Nothing official yet though from what I can see.

Sure I read the chinese club deny the 'drogba being released' story...anyway, I bet if he did go anywhere it would be to madrid or barca...why would he go to liverpool to play in a relegation battle?!

i'd be gutted if he went to liverpool. Rodgers was on talksport after todays game and was asked about Dider and he said he's monitoring the situation.

If Drogba felt he had more to offer in the Premiership he would have accepted our contract offer (I believe he got one). He would never go to another club in the EPL, never.

I would happily chop of a finger if it meant Drogba won't go to Liverpool. I don't think the amount of fingers I still have directly affects who Didi plays for, but it's the thought that counts I guess. :blush2:

Pretty sure it's people jumping on what Martin Tyler said and taking it seriously.

They can't afford his wages.

Wouldn't fit into Rodgers' team style.

Didi is far too loyal to join a team that has become a bitter rival over the past decade.

Not going to happen. Thank god. Or Moses.

Is he allowed to play for Liverpool, thought there was a FIFA rule that prevented a player playing for 3 separate clubs in a calendar year?

Dont think it counts if a player is a free agent

Why would he go there knowing how important he is in Chelsea's history... He has also already said that he could never play against Chelsea and ruled out him playing in the Premier League.

If the Chinese story is true and he is cut, I bet he goes to the MLS. He wanted something of a change and obviously China is still ass backward so he could come to America and be a celebrity.

Either way, Drogba in a LFC kit would be wrong in just about every way! I would be disgusted and honestly it be tough to fathom how I may feel about Drogba. Hopefully this never happens and we can laugh at LFC all year long because they are in for a real bad season...

:laugh2:

What exactly is he monitoring? Checking blogs and forums like the rest of us?

Shanghai have denied the story, and everyone has seemingly forgotten when Drogba was leaving it was between

-Staying at Chelsea

-Going back to Marseilles

-Going to Shanghai

Have no idea why Liverpool, who look lost like a total disaster at the minute, are considered a possibility. Rogers might be sacked before he can sign another player.

If Brendan Rodgers has just got rid of 1 big striker up front, because it doesn't suit his style why would he bring in another big striker up front who doesn't suit his style?

I know Didier is a slightly better player than Carroll :blush2:

This is just the media stirring things up again!

Pool needed him today against Arsenal.

Imagine the look on Wengers face if he'd played. When he thought that he'd finally seen the last of Drogba he appears in a Liverpool shirt. He would have wet his pants and I would have laughed. Atleast until I realised that Drogba was wearing a Liverpool shirt, then I would have vomited and cried myself to sleep.

Watching the crisis at Liverpool makes me feel not-so-bad about the 4-1 hammering we got the other night.

Liverpool are in an absolutely dire state, they're like a mafia family who touched the don up the wrong way: Once you get in it's a hell of a fight to get out.

Andy Carrol is probably thanking his stars he escaped (Bet you any money that he will opt for a permanent move to West Ham) and Torres is probably laughing about it all with Meireles.

Drogba has more sense than to help Liverpool out in their hour of need, I suspect he'll end up in the USA.

He has said that he could never play for any other club in England and that his blood is blue after the CL final. Its not going to happen and if he does come back to Europe and does not go to Madrid/ Braca/ Juve/ Milan i can see him going to Marseille. His childhood club and he only got one season there, still absolutely adored by their fans
