Leeds v Chelsea (League Cup) 19/12/12 KO 19:45

Can't see a thread for this amazingly!

This is awesome, just hope I can get a ticket. I wonder what allocation we'll get. Sure it'll be pretty tasty up there and they might even have to find the keys to their top tier for once!

Gonna be tough though, on and off the field I expect. It's still 1978 in Leeds.

Cech better start practicing head butts, never know who's gonna run on the pitch up there.

A good cup tie. Them having that prat Warnock in charge will make beating them all the more sweeter.

Feel free to blame me if we lose

What date will this one be, I fancy a trip up to dirty Leeds.

Think the 19th December, a week after the other ties due to our quest for world domination.

I wonder if he'll upgrade his rugby hat to a boxers helmet or even a motorcycle helmet?

I'd have preferred Arsenals tie tbh.

Leeds are a tough team and this will be their final, we should have too much but our better players will be needed.

Oooh tasty! Hope that the players are up to it as much as the fans will be.

Will this round at least be televised? Don't think any of them have been in the States yet

Today's stream was on Fox so I am assuming it was televised in the states

Was it??

Well crap. My work had me out of office all day, was in meetings thumbing through twitter like a mad man at the end. However, when I checked last night I didn't see anything on Fox Soccer, maybe it was Fox Soccer Plus?? Which I don't get in this area.

Anyway, will certainly try and "work from home" the day of the Leeds game

Oh, and if Fox did have the game, then their Fox Soccer Report was shocking. Only showed 3 goals in a 9 game thriller? And none of the incidents in this match either. What a load of Ballacks

Ya I couldn't help you there, all I know is that the stream I watched it on was definitely US.

As far as Leeds when was the last time we played them? It certainly makes the tie a little more difficult in that they will likely be up for playing this one a little tighter as well. Emotions will be running high and our reserves will have to be at their best.

A massive match....The whole of LEEDS will be up for this one...Team wise it will be a tough bonecrushing scenario..(wheres chopper Harris when we need him)..Leeds will play tough n dirty...They still want revenge for 69/70...The fans will be dangerous in places if you are found wandering..So whoever goes be carefull...We should get around 3500 tickets is my guess....Win this, we win the cup..IMO

I can imagine there are a few old boys licking their lips for this one, can imagine we may see similar scenes to when we faced Cardiff at the Bridge.

Surely we will get a bigger allocation that 3500 though- it's the leagye cup we should get more like 6000 shouldn't we?

Robbie should just show them the 70 cup final games, that will get them pumped right up for it.

I loved how Robbie said in his post match interview on Sky, immediately after the draw that Chelsea and Leeds have history. I can't imagine that Carlo, Avram, Gus, Big Phil, Boas or even Jose would have been able to say that within 10 seconds of the draw. It's been quite a while since we last played them and in all honesty, it is not a rivalry that means a lot to people who were not conneted to or supporting Chelsea since maybe sometime in the later 90's.

It's gonna be dark, cold and unfriendly up there on a Wednesday night in December. I reckon we'll get at the very least 5000 tickets but I'm not actually sure we'll sell them all by a good margin. Not a place for the familes, couples and hats and scarves that make up a good chunk of our support nowadays. It's gonna be a cracking throwback to the 'good old days'.

And based on last nights performance, I don't think it will be a place for Romeu and Piazon either. If we are serious about beating them we will need the big guns.

Robbie aint aged a day from that pic.

Honestly thought they had him in cryogenic stasis from the day he retired. He looks exactly the same.

Agree Snedger, God it feels great to have a manager who just "gets" this club.
