We better have a back-up sign-up, if not this would be the most idiotic move the board did this year (and that's not saying much). He had potential, but you to question his ability if none of our managers wanted to fully trust him in the starting position.

Shame as the potential is there. Hopefully it will always remain just that - like countless players before him.

 

Not as gutted as I would have been a season or two ago, but still don't feel he was ever given a real chance.

If he lost his arrogance and gained the ability to use his other foot and pass he would have been a regular for us no question but he didn't.

COULD be a top player but in his head he already is. That is why he left City and that is why he is leaving us. He believes he should be first choice... Well Danny unfortunately you have to work hard for that to happen!!!

Danny is certainly a talented player with solid potential, but he's incredibly selfish on the pitch and is quite injury prone.I think he'll have flashes of brilliance in his career but somehow I doubt he'll become the player we thought he'll be when we bought him.

Who knows what the future holds for him, but seeing he's off to Liverpool I can only wish his injury problems persist & he has nothing but bad luck!
