Well if this ends up the same come close of the window, since Jose said no more buys and all, got to be the first summer window in a very, very long time that we make a profit on ins and outs.

You have forgotten to mention the 43 or so million that we received from UEFA for our Champions League performances and television rights from last season. So with the added 28.5 mil from the sale of the gutless egotistical Lukaku, this pushes us nearer the 70 mil bracket give or take a mil or two.

Mourinho said something cyptic a couple of months ago that we would see some big changes in the striking department. He could have been referring to Costa, but I wouldn't be suprized if there is something big on the arisen. With the amount of money have available, there isn't many strikers that are out of the question.

Costa can also play off a striker as he did with falcao, so who knows what club are thinking.

I just hope we don't get to the 1st of September, with costa/drogba/torres.

I have tried to explain to you over and over and over and over again and yet you still dont get it. why is everyone talking about foreign players coming in when we have a serious issue with regards to overseas players and our quotas?!

We can still do business. Lukaku counts as a foreign national, so we would now be compliant with UEFAs limit on foreign nationals in a squad. But if we sell Cech, Mikel or Torrid we'll have space to get a decent striker to bolster our line.

As much as I love Cech, I see us having to offload him to make way for a new striker because Torrid is going to stay til the last day of his contract. You cannot keep two world class keepers happy for long and if anything, we need to think for the future and Courtois is our future in goal.

hopefully we have first refusal or something. would hate it if he does really well next season then arsenal buy him or something.

We wouldn't have sold Lukaku if we didn't have a plan or think we will free up a place.

Hopefully torres, mikel, and Marin are sold, I also wouldn't register Schwarzer if both Cech and Courtois are staying.

Agreed especially when it's a proven gold scorer, not so much if it's someone average.

I'd say he's worth about 20 mill, but with the fees that have gone around this summer i have no idea what market value is anymore, good signing for everton if true, you guys need another striker though, for our sake i hope you dont get one!

We never really felt it too much with Mata as United were in turmoil last season but I feel it will be a sore one next season like the same with Sturridge.
