No need to win this at all costs! We have a nice advantage from the first round. And the fact that the game will be played in front of couple fo thousand people (most probably Chelsea fans from Moscow) 400 miles from Kazan is great news for us. Still we need to avoid complacency as Bayern and Spuds demonstrated that a seemingly convincing lead can dissappear very quickly. Give Dave, Rami, Luiz and Mata a rest. Perhaps Hazard as well. The rest should be good enough to play.

Not too bothered about the next 2 games ,the game away to Fulham is more important then either of them.

I think we'll play quite defensive.  I also think we'll see Terry and Lampard start.

 

I don't know who, but I'd also like to see us take another striker.  Might even see Ake in the team.

I'm expecting a few changes so maybe something like the above, some rotation is needed and I expect a couple of players to be rested for the weekends game.

 

Personally I would prefer Marin in there over Yossi but Rafa obviously has some loyalty to Benayoun so I would expect him to start ahead of Marin.

We really should progress after 3-1 in the first game, no matter which team we put out.

 

I'd seriously consider playing Paolo The Eternal, as Bertrand will be getting a lot of minutes in the next games, as will Azpilicueta.

 

An attacking midfield of Moses - Benayoun - Marin won't work and if we play them from the off, we will be inviting trouble. I'd start Mata just to keep them on their toes in defense and then sub him at HT, possibly bringing Hazard late in the 2nd. Ramires has to be rested, so Lampard and Mikel will probably start, with possibly a cameo from Ake if the result is favourable.

 

The ideal situation would be if we score first early; then they will need 3 just to take it to ET, which I don't see us conceding with Cech and JT in defense.

Ake did plenty enough when he played previously. We are so short on strikers its absurd really.

We need 7 points from Fulham, City and Liverfool in the league. Still has to be priority 1.

To be honest given what City did tonight I have serious doubts as to us getting a result at Wembely. This may be our best chance of silverware this season.

He mentioned something about a different formation, if Ba is struggling wouldn't be suprised to see Torres on the bench and Moses furthest forward. Or will he stick 3 at the back and use wingbacks so he can rest the full backs. City were really good yesterday using width so will be a big game for Bertrand and Dave at the weekend could really do with them being fresh as they have played the last 3 and it is one of the most demanding physically at fullback.

Sunday’s game was Chelsea’s fourth in nine days and Benitez is contemplating some changes at the Luzhniki Stadium.

 

Benitez said: ‘We’re considering changing the system if necessary to put fresh legs on the pitch and be stronger.

Benetiz quote saying he could possibly change the system on Thursday in order to rotate.

 

Could mean switching to 4-3-3 maybe so that we don't need to play Oscar/Mata/Hazard?

I'd like to see a 4-3-3 that includes Lampard. I'd imagine Oscar would be benched, but he'd likely make a second half appearance.
